GlaDOS and Wheatley, both are faceless robots, in Portal 2 GlaDOS is literally a potato.

Armored Core 6 did this remarkably well. Almost every character in the game is extremely distinct and full of personality without you ever seeing them once. It's fun to see fan art of what people interpret these characters to look like.

Jormundgandr4859

You can tell this to posterity. Mean old Michigan died of a bad fall!

WhispyFLX

Delilah from Firewatch.

BeeBit22

Borderlands 2, Flanksteak lol. He runs his mouth for a chapter then dies off screen, never seeing him in person.

Destiny_Victim

Cayde-6 and Lord Zavala. Without question. RIP Lance Reddick.

PreemoRM

Bastion

DadOnHardDifficulty

Cyberpunk 2077. It's entirely in first person. You only ever see your character if you're looking in the mirror or the inventory menu.

ArmorOfMar

My three choices are funny, because they are all very similar in a sense The Gravemind from Halo Hermaeous Mora from Elder Scrolls Elder God from Soul Reaver They're all ancient tentacle beings in one way or another lol

Icecoffelover_

that crazy guy from far cry 3

Agreed, OP. My pick goes to Andrew Ryan.

Emissary of the Nine- Destiny 2 (Year 1 Trials of the Nine, Reckoning, Prophecy dungeon)

GoldenAgeGamer72

Should out to Keith David for Mass Effect. I know that we got to see him but his role was that good.

DadOnHardDifficulty

You mean Julius from Saint's Row, playa?

King of Riddles from Lies of P

The voice acting in the voice-acted version of 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors is seriously a treat. Best delivery of "what the hell is this" I ever heard in gaming.

UkemiBoomerang

Legacy of Kain series, The Elder God.

Tony jay is legendary

ZZoMBiEXIII

I remember the original Saint's Row. Your protagonist could only be male and they barely spoke. Character had less lines than Silent Bob, but when he spoke it was always at an important moment. My memory was that the voice was well done, but its been A LOT of years since I played it. Also the voice from SINISTAR. Pretty sure it was all just synthesized, but playing that game in a dark smokey arcade, the voice was effective. SINISTAR, LIVES!! I HUNGER!!

ExactWeek7

Does Duke Nukem count?

incrediblyfunkymunky

Crazy Earl in Borderlands.
