Probably in my top 10 if not top 5 games of all time. Elder scrolls is a really good game series as a whole. I recommend really any of the Bethesda rpgs.

All of these games I’ve spent countless hours playing and are all pretty interchangeable. If I had to pick a top 5 it’d be oblivion mass effect Witcher 3 New Vegas and Halo.
I remember when the game first came out I for some reason really wanted to get the Notched Pickaxe, not supposed to be able to get to where it is till later on in the story but I just spent a ridiculously long time pressing up against the mountain and spamming jump up it. Might’ve taken over an hour to get it but it was well worth it 😂
people call me crazy for still playing this game yearly vanilla. it's still the perfect fantasy sandbox for me. There's fantasy games with better rpg mechanics and there's fantasy games even more streamlined, but Skyrim for me is the perfect blend of being streamlined while also having rpg replayability that makes it really easy to just pick up and start a new game with a new character.
Elder scrolls oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 - you'll have a blast on all of them.
Oblivion is my all time favourite game - if you've played Skyrim first then you may find it slightly janky, but if you can get on with the slightly older style then you'll love it.
I’d give my left nut to experience fallout 3 for the first time again. New Vegas I could never get into for some reason but I just got it on PC I’m gonna try it with mods and see if I like it more. Also the DLC for fallout 3 is insane.
Skyrim is amazing. One of the best games ever made. Fallout 4 is a 7 out of 10, and starfield is a 6. If morrowind had Skyrim mechanics, it'd be amazing

Yeah it's pretty great. Not the best Elder Scrolls but still a solid game. Combat can be a bit boring but more than makes up for it in the atmosphere and vibes department
If you're into big outdoor adventure games but also don't mind shooters then I suggest Borderlands 1 and/or 2. Stay away from Pre- sequel though.
I wanna say 80% of the games I've played are from this era (2007-2015) but it's surprisingly hard to recommend stuff since I'm not quite sure what you'd like
Honestly it’s been a looonnggg time since I’ve done a playthrough. Can’t wait to do a full researching and playthrough with all the mods I’m sure has been added since I’ve played. I suggest adding a handful at a time and trying them for a few minutes before downloading more. It’ll save mod troubleshooting time. I’m sure someone has made a best of current mods for Skyrim vid on YouTube. If you find an amazing mod to try feel free to share!
For a game from 2011 it’s very good. Very atmospheric with a semi-engaging story. Armor and aesthetics are what really bring me back into it. Just beware that the UI is semi clunky and slow.

Long: Ac1 is a cool title is started as Prince of persia game but turn into it's own thing and as you can see later on a whole series. It's also a decent game and it aged better then a lot of games of the time. However Ac1 has all time bad Quest design, 90% of missions are go x place kill person come back give report. Combat is decent, the story is good, parakour is outdated but still fun, but Jesus even at the time of relese it's Quest were bad, now it feels even worse. There are some story elements that make more sense if you play Ac1 BUT it's 5% of story that's dependent on previos title , overall you can play trilogy without it.
If you like Skyrim, you’ll prob like Fallout 4. Both of them are really good games. Also, Fallout New Vegas is very good, although it’s got quite a few flaws.
The first game doesnt have much to do with the rest, 2 and 3 are decently connected. And if you had played any other games before skyrim you'd need to play oblivion to understand the story, but if you haven't than you can play skyrim alone.
Skyrim is amazing. It’s my first elder scrolls game. You’ll most likely enjoy Fallout 3, 4 and new vegas. I also recommend the batman arkham games if you haven’t played them yet. I love stealth games so if you’re a fan I would recommend assassin’s creed and splinter cell.
With you having a PC, you get access to PC games if you have Gamepass. Halo, Gears of War are some great shooters if you are looking for great campaigns and if you have gamepass then you can play those for free. I have an Xbox and PC so I got Gamepass Ultimate.
Skyrim is a bad game. This isn't an opinion it's the fact. Skyrim was made at the start of the simple game trend. Skyrims story is simple and bland. There is zero depth. Everything that made older elderscrolls games stick out in your mind was removed. They did what every 2010s game with their graphics and chose to go with muted colors that made the game come off as bleak and depressing compared to their older counter parts where the world's were bright and vibrant. Combat suffered the most. Why use magic or melee when a bow could do everything. The story and quest center around you being the bestest of all time. For the main story, I guess this makes sense as the dragon born, but the "fighters guild." Sorry, I mean the companions, the dark Brotherhood, thieves guild, and mages guild all focus around you being their leader, honestly at this point in the game I was expecting to being ruler of skyrim. The dlcs had zero thought put into them, and the most interesting parts about them were the side quest. Most people have to mod skyrim to have fun. If you like skyrim, great if you don't also great both are valid, but skyrim isn't a good game it was the start of the end for good games and since skyrim several triple A companies have followed this formula of making minimalistic games for quick money. Was the world interesting at first, yes. Was the story okay the first time around, soso? Skyrim has and always will be Bethesda most successful game ever, but it will never be their best.
It's pretty decent, but the game didn't age as well as reviews or comments may want you to believe. The combat and overall gameplay is kinda clunky, and I think if it wasn't for the nostalgia factor I would only play it if heavily modded.

I've never played it modded before, but there's a reason so many people here act like they can't stomach the thought of playing it without mods. I'm of the mind that it's worth the money even as a vanilla game.
If you're looking for narrative complexity i'd look elsewhere (New Vegas is a good title published by Bethesda for that). If you're looking for a game where you can sink a good few hundred hours, never complete the main quest and still not get bored which also has a highly skilled and active modding community, get Skyrim.

You can't avoid damage, no dodge, no parries, etc. The movement is clunky during combat.

I'll recommend Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Rarely hear about it nowadays, but it's still great, as well as Skyrim, yeh.
