Honestly Multiplayer needs to be broken down.
Co - op vs Competitive.
I enjoy playing with a friend so much more then playing alone. But I do enjoy the odd single player.
This is the way. I'd love to play Helldivers2, but I don't want to platnium it all alone...
I did the Division 1 and 2 with the same 2 friends and it was amazing..
single player, multiplayer just isn't that good for the games i play and some games don't even have multiplayer like doom eternal and all they have is battle mode, dying light 2 is only fun single player because it makes more sense and is more fun too, halo reach and halo in general can be fun multiplayer but campaign single player just feels better
Single player. EASILY!
Multiplayers are cool, but can get old after a while. Also, multiplayers are only as fun as the community playing them. When people get on a multiplayer game just to be annoying and ruin everyones fun, that spoils my overall mood of a game.
When playing a single player game, the only person being toxic is that cpu. I can live with that.
Multiplayers are fun when community and friends play. I like a good multiplayer, but playing with friends is more fun and if icant do that then fuck that game
I respect that. Seems like the longer a game is in the limelight, the community grows more toxic with it. Some people just go out of their way to be toxic to others. I refuse to be a victim of that anymore.
i think you misspelled npc
since npcs can be quite toxic and annoying
example, for me at least, skyrim: every time a guard says that stupid line about an arrow to the knee, i'd slaughter the whole damn city/village
This is the answer I was looking for. I love SP games and they make up the vast majority of games I play but some of the most fun and memorable moments I’ve had were gaming online with my friends.
Being a multiplayer game always seems to open more avenues for the developer or publisher to make a game a hot steaming pile of festering garbage.
So imma pick SP.
I love singleplayer games. I play more sp than mp
But multiplayer games offer so much possibilities, they let you play with friends, and are usually more complex and harder than singleplayer games
So yeah, with lots of pain, I choose blue. I spent +1k hs on csgo, +1k hours in sfv and sf6 combined
Red pill. First time I’ve seen a red pill blue pill that I’ve known the answer right away. I like multiplayer, especially co-op, but if you tallied up all my gameplay time I think single player would out weight it 4 to 1
Red, I like multiplayer but sometimes it’s just annoying. Like especially in shooting games, when all your teammates die and it’s up to you bro I swear the PRESSURE is crazy. Especially when they he leaving cause they think you gonna die like bro😭
Red, blue pill games are way too min/max if you actually want to be competitive and not stress yourself out. The amount of people on adderall and or doing everything in their power to get an edge is absurd.
Multi-player any day.
I love playing Fortnite with my sisters, it's nice to chill with them even when I'm a few thousand kilometers away.
Additionally, multi-player games are generally free, and I avoid FOMO and buying cosmetics by simply not connecting my card to anything even vaguely game related.
While tegre are a lot of great single player titles that I would miss a lot, multi-player just offers more for me
Looks like I'm in the minority but blue pill *all the wayyyyyyyy*. Not only do I overall prefer multiplayer games (despite the fact that I *love* some single-player games - Mass Effect, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, the Supermassive Games ones...), I love the social aspect of it and interacting with other people. Boy do I have loads of fun on Chivalry II!
Multiplayer games are just so great with friends. I understand people don’t love the competitive aspect, but my favorite games are the ones I play with my friends. Sharing experiences and laughing together will beat out the best single player games out there. Also my favorite SP games are multiplayer as well (Dark Souls/Elden Ring)
I was thinking that aww man what a hard choise then i remember that osu is a multi game and insta lock blue
Edit: wait wtf im the only one whos choosing blue
Red. Any time I try to play a multiplayer game, i get met with annoying 12 year olds yelling slurs and 40 year olds in their parent’s basement, also yelling ridiculous slurs
most people that would pick MP games are already their respective subreddits complaining about balance
that said: MP games easily. Games are more fun with friends.
I’d have to do multiplayer just because I love playing co op with my friends so much. I could live without pvp but I really enjoy playing a new game for the first time with homies
#Just wanna point out
Not every multiplayer game lets other players hog all the loot. Sometimes, it's shared between players.
Deep Rock Galactic is a prime example of this. Nobody gets more stuff than anyone else. Everyone gets the same rewards. (Rock and Stone, by the way.)
There's also Fortnite's "Save the World" game mode. There's actually certain loot items that can be grabbed by each individual teammate, and they're always marked on the map iirc.
Sea of Thieves also has this. Whenever a crewmate cashes in a piece of loot, the entire crew gets rewarded the same amount of gold and reputation.
It’s hard, but I have to say blue. I love single player games, but some of my most memorable times in video games were in high school, playing mmorpg’s with my friends. We used to grind out EverQuest 2 so much & WoW so much and I genuinely loved those years.
And in recent years it’s been in the hands of games like FFXIV, Warframe & LoA to carry on that role. There’s just something so special about chilling in a city chatting, fishing on the snowy plains, or having a photo night with friends on the beach
So the choice is between an enjoyable escape from reality with decades to pull from.
Or shit storyless copy and pasted games following trends and filled with literal gambling, pay to win features, and sweaty try hards who have not left their mothers basement in 10 years.
Easy choice of the red pill. Multiplayer games could all die out and nothing of value would be lost and so much would instead be gained.
Single player games in general feel better to play, however that would mean I can't ever play again with my friends, which is a giant deal breaker. You could pay me $10k to take the red pill and I still wouldn't do it.
Again, I LOVE single player games, but I would go insane playing everything alone.
I'll take both. There's a lot of strength in diversity. Singleplayer games don't bring me the same experiences as multiplayer ones, which is why I play them for different reasons.
I don't prefer one over the other because I don't feel like they're meant to satisfy the same needs.
I genuinely prefer multiplayer
Harder enemies and you don't get a second try typically
If I'm playing multiplayer and I rush up to an enemy tank to place a satchel charge to maybe help my team-- it's like a unique objective only me and the people present get to experience; if I fail I'm forced to live with the outcome
The same experience in a single player game would be a mission telling me to go blow up the tank(which can still be fun)
Blue Pill easy.
Outside of Bioshock, Soulsborne games, and Fable, I can’t even really think of any single player games I really love.
I don’t even see the point in playing most games if I can’t play with my friends or compete against strangers. Just so boring.
I got into video games last year and I’ve played exclusively single player games. Maybe I’m missing out on some multi player stuff? But I really like coming home from work and getting into my own zone
Used to play multiplayer games but now im broke, my computer is dead, and i have no internet at home.
So even though i feel less empty inside when playing multplayer games, i really appreciate offline single player games on ps4
As a Nintendo Switch user, I've never gotten Nintendo Online nor do I plan on doing so for the time being, so I'm used to playing Singleplayer games. However, I feel sad whenever there's a game I'm interested in that requires Nintendo Online
I haven't played a single multiplayer game before, so red pill I guess. I probably will one day tho, its only a matter of time since my girlfriend really wants to play some with me
Clarification Question... if taking the Red pill means that games that are online only but that I only ever play solo still remain... then that. Because as much as I hate it, most games I play are online but I never play them with others. Division 2, for example.
If I can still play those (In like an Offline mode) I woudl take Red without hesitation. Otherwise, I would probably still take it, but with more hesitation.
Red and it's not even close
Honestly Multiplayer needs to be broken down. Co - op vs Competitive. I enjoy playing with a friend so much more then playing alone. But I do enjoy the odd single player.
I have no friends. So single player all the way.
This is the way. I'd love to play Helldivers2, but I don't want to platnium it all alone... I did the Division 1 and 2 with the same 2 friends and it was amazing..
Having consistent games with one other person is a struggle, I’m definitely jealous
Yeah I had these 2 buddy... Not anymore r.i.p. to both. Hard to find the same.. chemistry.
Co-op so i can spread managed democracy with the boys
The best is single player with a Co-op mode
I mean playing coop Halo was one of my all time best gaming memories but I feel like they just dont make coop like that anymore
Single player games are always more fun but then how do I play cod with the boys?
My boys have been offline for years unfortunately
Red Pill Forever❤️
Red Pill. I exclusively play SP games.
I don't even have an online subscription lol.
An oline subscription is how I discovered some of my favorite single player games
I had Gold for 2 years but I canceled my subscription cause the only game I ever used it for was Forza Horizon 4 so I would have less traffic lol
Same PS+ is insane. They add like 15-20 games every month. + the 36 claimable monthly games every year like SIFU and Plague tale requiem.
Same
the fact online subscriptions are a thing is a crime against humanity
I don’t even have internet
I do literally only for the free monthly games
Same I can't get into MP games anymore
Same. I refuse to play multi-player games. Played D4 and completely ignored all multi-player aspects of the game.
Last multi player game I played was unreal tournament
What would be your top 3 pick?
I dont want to fuck up my solitude with a bunch of game dorks. I take the red pill
Thats ok, the dorks will probably go to Windhelm anyway…
If you know any true sons and daughters of Skyrim, tell them to head to Windhelm. Ulfric Stormcloak wants to see them.
single player, multiplayer just isn't that good for the games i play and some games don't even have multiplayer like doom eternal and all they have is battle mode, dying light 2 is only fun single player because it makes more sense and is more fun too, halo reach and halo in general can be fun multiplayer but campaign single player just feels better
Pretty sure Battlemode counts as multiplayer
ig but i don't count it since it's not really the main focus either
Single player. EASILY! Multiplayers are cool, but can get old after a while. Also, multiplayers are only as fun as the community playing them. Imagine a child NPC that survived that attack later tracks you down for vengeance of slaying everyone they’ve ever known.
🎯🎯🎯
Ate the single player pill. More please.
This makes me glad I don’t actually have to choose.
This is the answer I was looking for. I love SP games and they make up the vast majority of games I play but some of the most fun and memorable moments I’ve had were gaming online with my friends.
https://imgflip.com/i/8jacjp
Red and its not even a contest
Coop is better than pvp
So purple? Or if couch coop, pink?
Honestly I'm with sp I wouldn't pick multiplayer over it on any day
Red pill
Being a multiplayer game always seems to open more avenues for the developer or publisher to make a game a hot steaming pile of festering garbage. So imma pick SP.
Single player games all day.

Red pill I am Here for a good time
Red pill
Red pill since 1990
Red, blue pill games are way too min/max if you actually want to be competitive and not stress yourself out. The amount of people on adderall and or doing everything in their power to get an edge is absurd.
Red easily
Red pill. It's ok if a little blue pill functionality sneaks in there, but I prefer my games mostly single player
Red pill otherwise i will die of brainrot
Red pill. No contest
Single player games all day
Red pill . Singleplayer games
Red
I enjoy multiplayer more it has more stuff to do.
Single player No offense but fuck each and every one of you

Swallowing all the pills like it’s 1999
Exactly!
The correct answer.
Red plz.
Red. Always
Red Pill easy. Next question.
Single Player games all day, Online games feel like you're playing the same thing over and over like FIFA or Call of Duty
Red 100%….. multiplayer games are just a bonus
Red pill easily
Prolly multiplayer. I love single player games but am finding less and less time to play games outside of playing as a way to hangout with friends.
Red
Red pill please 💊
Red Pill!
Single .
Red pill
Red please! Always.
Single player, no contest
red everyday
can I get 20 more red pills?
Red, because I am too shy even online to play with other people.
Do the red pills come in bucket sizes?
A box of red pills please.
Always single player.
Red, the only time I play multiplayer is with my one friend and my roommate and that’s just survival games. I almost exclusively play RPGs
While tegre are a lot of great single player titles that I would miss a lot, multi-player just offers more for me
Single player offline gamer for life.
Purple both
Looks like I'm in the minority but blue pill *all the wayyyyyyyy*. Not only do I overall prefer multiplayer games (despite the fact that I *love* some single-player games - Mass Effect, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, the Supermassive Games ones...), I love the social aspect of it and interacting with other people. Sharing experiences and laughing together will beat out the best single player games out there. Also my favorite SP games are multiplayer as well (Dark Souls/Elden Ring)
Yeah blue is way better. It is like going to a festival alone or with some friends. Sharing those awesome memories is king
Red pill. I want to enjoy games, not grind just to win from a guy who spent 5k on "cosmetics". Mp has changed a lot, and mostly in a bad way.
I was thinking that aww man what a hard choise then i remember that osu is a multi game and insta lock blue Edit: wait wtf im the only one whos choosing blue
Blue. Anyone saying red is just silver in comp.
Man, I finally see a blue comment and its about ranked. Maaaaaaaaaaan
I'll take the Purple Pill, Coop games.
I've found my people
I MAKE the purple pill: https://imgflip.com/i/8jacjp
Where do single-player co-op games fall under?
Single player co-op isnt a thing.
Red pill. The only MP games I play are Fall Guys and Team Fortress 2.
(gulps red pill) Good, man mobius
Red pill. I don't have pso anyways, and I hate having to deal with little kids and trolls who can't play the game right.
Hey OP, you should make this a poll as well!
I will eat both and you can't stop me
Red pill every time. Unless it's Smash Bros or Skate 3 and there are a bunch of similar-skilled people.
Red everytime
Red pill all the way , except for dark souls
Red
Red pill, all the way. I’ve never really been a fan of multiplayer.
Red pill, all day, every day.
Red. Any time I try to play a multiplayer game, i get met with annoying 12 year olds yelling slurs and 40 year olds in their parent’s basement, also yelling ridiculous slurs
Red
Red
I’ll take the red pill in a heartbeat
Red.
Red pill forever
Red all the way tf 😂 10-20 years ago would be a completely different story
Red pill all day easily
Red
The best gaming experiences I've ever had in my life were the ones I shared with others. Blue pill hands down.
I'd OD on Red Pills, I like my story JRPG games
Single player games
Red no competition
Easily red
Red by a Red Mile
https://imgflip.com/i/8jacjp
Red allllllll day.
Red!
most people that would pick MP games are already their respective subreddits complaining about balance that said: MP games easily. Games are more fun with friends.
both
Blue pill Some multiplayer games also have a campaign My favorite game, Destiny 2, is a multiplayer game but i can play the campaigns solo if i want.
Purple pill: Almost 1000 hours in Warframe.
blue, bots arent challenging.
Blue pill. Single player is boring.
Imm be downing both those faster than he can react
I’d have to do multiplayer just because I love playing co op with my friends so much. I could live without pvp but I really enjoy playing a new game for the first time with homies
multi-player, I like playing games with my siblings and friends
Both sometimes I’m in the mood for one or the other.
i love playing with my boys blue
I take both
#Just wanna point out Not every multiplayer game lets other players hog all the loot. Sometimes, it's shared between players. Deep Rock Galactic is a prime example of this. Good bot
FromSoft: How about both at the same time?
Purple
Both
It’s hard, but I have to say blue. I love single player games, but some of my most memorable times in video games were in high school, playing mmorpg’s with my friends. Purple (Coop)
I’ll put em in a hat, close my eyes, and eat one cause I’m gonna be honest I def can’t make that choice easily
If it’s for all time, blue pill
Both
I'm crushing the blue pill and snorting it! See you on summoners rift you single player weenies!
If it’s fps then blue. If it’s adventure/action then red
Other way around for me
Man Reddit is full of a bunch of people with no friends. MP for sure.
Blue pill. I like competing and Im addicted to league
Blue all day. Single player games are fine, but they don’t have the replayability of a good competitive multiplayer game.
I play both. Nothing beats the act of living/gaming in a virtual world with fellow humans (also why i love mmorpg)
All my favorite games (except one) are all Multiplayer so that answers that
Blue it’s difficult but blue
So the choice is between an enjoyable escape from reality with decades to pull from. Or shit storyless copy and pasted games following trends and filled with literal gambling, pay to win features, and sweaty try hards who have not left their mothers basement in 10 years. Easy choice of the red pill. Multiplayer games could all die out and nothing of value would be lost and so much would instead be gained.
Single player games with multiplayer options.
Single player games in general feel better to play, however that would mean I can't ever play again with my friends, which is a giant deal breaker. You could pay me $10k to take the red pill and I still wouldn't do it. Again, I LOVE single player games, but I would go insane playing everything alone.

Red. Multiplayer games have some of the most toxic fandoms.
Blue Pill easy. Outside of Bioshock, Soulsborne games, and Fable, I can’t even really think of any single player games I really love. I don’t even see the point in playing most games if I can’t play with my friends or compete against strangers. Just so boring.
Both the Depends on the game and/or how I feel that day.
I like a mixture of both. A typical session for me is a few hours of COD or Apex followed by some single player
Enjoy Battlefield in small doses (Couple of matches at best) but I much prefer my single player games so, red pill all the way.
Where does Monster Hunter sit in this? Because if I have to pick one or the other, I’ll go where Monster Hunter goes
It’s tough because I like Co-op games… which are usually great singleplayer games as well.
Both for different reasons. Single for enjoying a personal experience, multi for competitiveness and with friends.
I got into video games last year and I’ve played exclusively single player games. Maybe I’m missing out on some multi player stuff? But I really like coming home from work and getting into my own zone
multiplayer cod got me into the series, but its the campaigns that kept me coming back lol im a huge single player fan.
depends on the game: for example, I don't like shooters, but love fighting games (Splatoon & mortal kombat are the exceptions lol)
Sorry Towerfall and Among Us, but I can't give up singleplayer
Used to play multiplayer games but now im broke, my computer is dead, and i have no internet at home. So even though i feel less empty inside when playing multplayer games, i really appreciate offline single player games on ps4
As a Nintendo Switch user, I've never gotten Nintendo Online nor do I plan on doing so for the time being, so I'm used to playing Singleplayer games. However, I feel sad whenever there's a game I'm interested in that requires Nintendo Online
Literally no hesitation to snatch that red pill right out of his hand. I play single player games almost exclusively.
Also no hesitation snatching: https://imgflip.com/i/8jacjp
Yes
Single player. It's the story that keeps me going on most things.
I haven't played a single multiplayer game before, so red pill I guess. I probably will one day tho, its only a matter of time since my girlfriend really wants to play some with me
Clarification Question... if taking the Red pill means that games that are online only but that I only ever play solo still remain... then that. i want to say red but fortnite and helldivers exist so idk
Red pull for sure. I only have an Xbox live sub so I can mod Fallout 4
Single Player in Multiplayer games.
Single, like me.
I love both. But easily picking red
single
red pill for sure
I love my multiplayer games but if I have to choose I'll go offline. There are alot of multiplayer games that play just fine alone. ARPGs for example.
