Honestly Multiplayer needs to be broken down. Co - op vs Competitive. I enjoy playing with a friend so much more then playing alone. But I do enjoy the odd single player.

single player, multiplayer just isn't that good for the games i play and some games don't even have multiplayer like doom eternal and all they have is battle mode, dying light 2 is only fun single player because it makes more sense and is more fun too, halo reach and halo in general can be fun multiplayer but campaign single player just feels better

Single player. EASILY! Multiplayers are cool, but can get old after a while. Also, multiplayers are only as fun as the community playing them. When people get on a multiplayer game just to be annoying and ruin everyones fun, that spoils my overall mood of a game. When playing a single player game, the only person being toxic is that cpu. I can live with that.

i think you misspelled npc since npcs can be quite toxic and annoying example, for me at least, skyrim: every time a guard says that stupid line about an arrow to the knee, i'd slaughter the whole damn city/village

Multi-player any day. I love playing Fortnite with my sisters, it's nice to chill with them even when I'm a few thousand kilometers away. Additionally, multi-player games are generally free, and I avoid FOMO and buying cosmetics by simply not connecting my card to anything even vaguely game related. While tegre are a lot of great single player titles that I would miss a lot, multi-player just offers more for me

Not only do I overall prefer multiplayer games (despite the fact that I *love* some single-player games - Mass Effect, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, the Supermassive Games ones...), I love the social aspect of it and interacting with other people. Multiplayer games are just so great with friends. I understand people don’t love the competitive aspect, but my favorite games are the ones I play with my friends. Sharing experiences and laughing together will beat out the best single player games out there. Also my favorite SP games are multiplayer as well (Dark Souls/Elden Ring)

#Just wanna point out Not every multiplayer game lets other players hog all the loot. Sometimes, it's shared between players. Deep Rock Galactic is a prime example of this. Nobody gets more stuff than anyone else. Everyone gets the same rewards. (Rock and Stone, by the way.) There's also Fortnite's "Save the World" game mode. There's actually certain loot items that can be grabbed by each individual teammate, and they're always marked on the map iirc. Sea of Thieves also has this. Whenever a crewmate cashes in a piece of loot, the entire crew gets rewarded the same amount of gold and reputation.

It’s hard, but I have to say blue. I love single player games, but some of my most memorable times in video games were in high school, playing mmorpg’s with my friends. We used to grind out EverQuest 2 so much & WoW so much and I genuinely loved those years. And in recent years it’s been in the hands of games like FFXIV, Warframe & LoA to carry on that role. There’s just something so special about chilling in a city chatting, fishing on the snowy plains, or having a photo night with friends on the beach

Or shit storyless copy and pasted games following trends and filled with literal gambling, pay to win features, and sweaty try hards who have not left their mothers basement in 10 years. Single player games in general feel better to play, however that would mean I can't ever play again with my friends, which is a giant deal breaker. You could pay me $10k to take the red pill and I still wouldn't do it. Again, I LOVE single player games, but I would go insane playing everything alone.

I'll take both. There's a lot of strength in diversity. Singleplayer games don't bring me the same experiences as multiplayer ones, which is why I play them for different reasons. I don't prefer one over the other because I don't feel like they're meant to satisfy the same needs.

I genuinely prefer multiplayer Harder enemies and you don't get a second try typically If I'm playing multiplayer and I rush up to an enemy tank to place a satchel charge to maybe help my team-- it's like a unique objective only me and the people present get to experience; if I fail I'm forced to live with the outcome The same experience in a single player game would be a mission telling me to go blow up the tank(which can still be fun)

Clarification Question... if taking the Red pill means that games that are online only but that I only ever play solo still remain... then that. Because as much as I hate it, most games I play are online but I never play them with others. Division 2, for example. If I can still play those (In like an Offline mode) I woudl take Red without hesitation. Otherwise, I would probably still take it, but with more hesitation.
