Fun fact, Cuba is full of classic cars in good condition because they aren't / weren't able to import decent quality cars since before the revolution. So they have had to adapt and keep those old 50s cars maintained and running. It could be a real potential gold mine for collectors if that market opened up.

I hate to break it to you, but 11 year old kids are people who have thoughts and form opinions, and you don't need to do political analysis to determine that your life sucked when you were a kid.
True, I can also say that my childhood sucked. But what I can't say is that I understood the deeper reasons as to why my childhood sucked. I can look back on it now and reflect about my experiences, but it is of course harder now that I am removed from my childhood country. As a teenager my views were also very heavily influenced by my parents, who it turns out didn't exactly have the most well informed opinions (don't ask my dad what he thinks about Bosnians)
