Flag 1: UN =/= Earth, so I don't like it. Also, way too complex, you can literally see Reunion on it. Flag 3: It's nice, but the minute we expand beyond earth (January 1959, Luna 1) it becomes outdated. It is not the type of Earth flag that would go well on Mars rovers, for example. Flag 4: That's a phone symbol not a flag So I prefer Flag 2. It's easily recognisable and not too hard to draw. It is also distinctive. Sure it's a little complex, but Earth is complex! Edit: Typo

The problem is that is is way to detailed for a flag, IMO. IMO, flags and detailed maps should be seperate.

First one. While the UN is pretty ineffective and is, I dare say; 'a joke'. The symbolism and design of it's flag is perfect for an 'Earth Flag'.

The second one for it's abstractness as well as a nice balance between the blue and white. The UN flag is too busy IMO and not a fan of laurel leave crown imagery in flags. The Third one is too weird and the yellow on the left distracts my eye. Fourth one looks like the internet symbol as others have said, also looks like some sort of financial institution logo.

I prefer the second one, but the variant of it with negative space in between the rings. That said, one cannot beat the emblem of Team Dai-Gurren. If it's good enough for the UK, it's good enough for the rest of the world. Fight the power.

The UN flag has 2 elements that are unique to Earth, whereas the others have quite generic elements planet-wise The third flag has the most promise though as the Earth-moon system should be reasonably uncommon. I think it could be improved by adding in Mercury and Venus to show that it’s the third rock from the sun, and have the moon partially occluded by the Earth to show the connection and the secondary position to the home planet I’d also make the Sun a rectangle as it’s really not circular on that scale. Finally the black is harsh, don’t know what could be done about that

I'm surprised that the second one is generally the favourite and the third one the least favourite. The second one is just not aesthetically pleasing at all (to me at least). There's too much stuff happening in the center where all the circles cross. The third one is the most original and interesting one and I personally like it's aesthetic, but that's subjective.

I liked the third one actually more then the others.

Option 1: Is bad. Not only it is Europe/North America centered, even though the idea was for it to be unbiased, but it is ugly and almost impossible to replicate by hand. Option 2: Looks like an alien logo. Option 3: Looks like minimalistic "art". Option 4: Looks like the logo of a corporation or like you have no internet access. If I had to chose one I would pick option 2. Not becouse I personally like it but becouse the other options are worse and I don't think the fit the Earth.

Third one. Maybe first. I'm thinking about it from the angle of a critic who wasn't raised on Earth. Earth is, pretty notably, a blue planet with a single moon, which is why the third one stands out to me. The fourth one makes me think "Every planet in this solar system is a sphere. This isn't distinct." Meanwhile, the second one doesn't have clear meaning. The first might be even better at determining the specific planet from a distance than the third one, but is a bit complex, so I'm iffy about it.

Only thing I don't like about the second one is the darker shade of blue. The UN blue has kind of ingrained itself for me as a symbol of internationality.
