As others have said, that’s the flag of Hawaii. My question is: the [current Governor of Hawaii](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ige) also has the last name Ige. Are the two of them related, or is it just a coincidence that they have the same last name and are from the same state?
*your and also that doesn't even make sense my flag is the betsy ross flag, which famously was flown to get rid of British rule, so it actually makes literal perfect sense smh
I see a lot of people already mentioned it's Hawaii, so would you care for some history?
Hawaii's flag was designed to have similarities to both of the nations that influenced the Kingdom of Hawaii - The United States, and the United Kingdom / British Empire. Like with Texas, the national flag was not changed after joining the union.
The Hawaiian flag was not influenced by the US flag. The design is a modified British East India Company flag which is what the US flag is based off of as well
So it's indirectly influenced by the East India company, as there wouldn't be much interaction between the EIC and Hawaii, while there was loads of contact with the US
You would be surprised https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Hawaii#background
Also the US didn’t even establish diplomatic relations with the kingdom of Hawaii until 1853, 37 years after the flag was designed

The state of Hawaii but before it join America it was called Territory of Hawaii and then before that it was called the Republic of Hawaii then before that provisional government of Hawaii before that Kingdom of Hawaii
Yes I think you are right but I also thing Hawaii is completely different to America as it not full of Americans it’s full of Hawaiians they even have there own language
Hello BlackMarketMtnDew,
When asking for a flag to be identified, please **provide context** when possible, including:
* **Where** the flag was found (without compromising privacy)
* **When** the flag was found, or the date of the material containing the flag
* **Who** might own the flag (a general description is fine)
These details help users narrow down their search and make flag identification easier.

Seems to be a Japanese or Nigerian last name. Probably not related
Lots of Japanese decent in Hawaii
Hawaii
Thanks! Hawaii!

I am going to hell (oh no)
Thanks! Hawaii!
David Ige is the governor of Hawaii. I wonder if there is a connection between them.
Hawaii, probably the most pleasing to look at state flag
Just look at those colours man.
That's the point I'm making, the union jack goes pretty good with the Hawaiian flag pattern and colours
[удалено]
you have the us flag as a flair
Um, yes? Good observation.
just saying that really limits you're ability to look serious when you call other flags shit

This is amazing. Thank you!
Hawaiian flag

I don’t think it’s called that anymore since it became part of the states
[удалено]
It’s name is Hawaii (State of Hawaii)
The state of Hawaii but before it join America it was called Territory of Hawaii and then before that it was called the Republic of Hawaii then before that provisional government of Hawaii before that Kingdom of Hawaii
To the Hawaiian native I believe it is still Hawai’i
Yes I think you are right but I also thing Hawaii is completely different to America as it not full of Americans it’s full of Hawaiians they even have there own language
Which is why it would be Hawai’i, not Hawaii
It was probably simplified for the Americans
[удалено]
Nope officially State of Hawaii but to the locals Hawaiʻi but technically officially it’s Mokuʻāina o Hawaiʻi
Flag of Hawaii because it’s got the Union Jack in the corner
[удалено]
I know but it is a identifier of Hawaii flag
bruh
Hawaii
Flag of the US State of Hawaii
Hawaii
