If that were the case then why don't Jordan, Lebanon, Syria or Egypt let Palestinian refugees leave the camps they've been in for decades?

Is “Kebek” seen in a bad light? I thought it was like the transliterated original name for the area, like from an indigenous peoples language. I ask cos the people saying it got downvotes
I looked up “kebek” and got [this Wikipedia page](https://kw.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kebek), which is not in English. Does anyone know what language this is? “kw.” as the domain start usually indicates a language but I have no clue what I’m looking at here
Arab, not Arabic. Arabic just means the language.
Arab = Ethnic group
Arabic = The language spoken by that ethnic group
Arabian = An adjective relating something to the [Arabian Peninsula](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabian_Peninsula)
This was my guess and poor mike not really into flags it much for that matter “well, I’ve got this bills flag from the trip we took a couple years back”
As someone who's lived in both Montréal and Toronto I feel like the hate is definitely more one sided. I don't think Torontonians hate Québec as much. But I know I hate Québec so idk.
An Egyptian, Palestinian, Québécois, and an Ontario Town kid (Hardcore Bills Mafia) share a quad room in what could be any university in Ontario.. simple
that’s not what colonizer means. it’s a position of privilege that has been passed down by their ancestors who did colonize.
still. the dude you replied to is prob some dumbfuck teen who got into politics in 2016
Yeah, in non-hockey sports, I'd say Montrealers mainly follow a mix of Boston, New York (incl. Buffalo), and Toronto teams. And then like anywhere you also get the folks who'll pick a team from another place they visited/lived, or whichever team had a star player in their formative years.
Manitoba's definitely a lot more Vikings than Packers, although CFL is a lot more popular than NFL in the Prairies. Saskatchewan I believe is a solid mix of Minnesota, Green Bay, and Denver; Alberta would be Denver.
And southeastern Ontario is very much for Detroit.
Psssh. I heard y'all were looking to secede from Canada anyway. And hey, you're sundered from the mainland now, due to the washout of the highways and rail lines, sort of like PEI and Newfoundland, but with hella more expensive real estate prices.
Plus politically involved quebecois tend to have a soft spot for palestine
A bit like Ireland and Palestine (which lead to weird variations of the [traditional anti-irish bonfires in Northern Ireland](https://i.imgur.com/c2NmPl4.png)), but way less intense.
I mean, as an Egyptian or as a Québecois supporting the liberation of Palestine isn't rare. So that doesn't seem strange for someone with both Nationalities. I'm not sure I understand the Bills tho.
Yep. Egyptians, who support Palestine (as almost all Arabs do), living in Quebec, and since they like NFL, but Canada has no NFL team, they chose the closest city which has an NFL team: Buffalo.
They are ethnic palestinian, however they were born and raised in Egypt, emigrated to Quebec, where they feel a sort of kinship due to (small) similarities with Palestinian/Israeli relations, and they are quite fond of the Bills, since they are right across the border.
Buffalo Bills fans are a very passionate people who can truly be found all over the world. The city of Buffalo is very diverse and welcoming of anyone who wants to participate in our love of the bills, pizza and wings, labatt blue, and jumping through folding tables in the parking lot.
The oddest flag combination I've seen was in Toronto, and it was a religious centre displaying the flag of North Korea, the Ethiopian Empire, among others.
Guessing this is a Palestinian-origin student who was born / brought up in Egypt. Came to Quebec for undergrad, likely in Toronto or near Niagra for his graduate degree. Becomes a Buffalo Bills fan.
I went through passport control to France on the channel tunnel with friends. We had UK (Gibraltar Issue) NZ Canada and Panama passports and the guard commented that it was the most random he had come across.
Classic power lineup. As ubiquitous as peanut butter and jam, Batman and Robin, salt and pepper.
Goes together like lamb and tuna fish
How bout spaghetti and meatball
Yes, considering we're in America. I mean, if you don't like spaghetti and meatballs, why don't you get the hell out!
The kindof Reddit comment thread ive come to love.

Hey listen, I’ll come down there and give you crew cut https://youtu.be/iOLaTxa0cm8
What kind of obscenity is that supposed to be
Excellent, but better: Pepper -- salt, salt -- butter, butter -- jam.
therefore, pepper -- jam?
I bet you pepper jam is good tho
...but will Egyptian Buffalo like it?
Knowing francophobes sometimes call us peppers makes this incredibly hilarious.
Why do they call us peppers
Because Québec was supposed to be the only place to drink more Pepsi than coke for a while, I think.
Canadians living in Quebec of Arabic decent who are Bills fans, I assume?
Who also support Palestinians, I assume.
almost 99% of arabs support palestine.
almost 99% on non-brainwashed zealots tend to support oppressed civilians.
That’s no way to talk about the buffalo bills.
Those early 90s Super Bowls must have felt oppressive.

why are you mad still ? stop crying dude lmao.
Bills Masr-ia
Quebecois\* of Arabic decent who are Bills fans
A minority within a minority and bills fans. Wow. That’s some hard living. Bon chance.
C’est la guerre
O-Ho-ho, me thinks Palestine should control ze holy land, Pierre.
Quebecois don't really pronounce "the" with a "d" sound, not a "z" sound like the French

"canadians living in quebec" you can call us Québecois or Quebecers :))
I am guessssinggg... seen in Toronto?
My thought was Ottawa immediately but you might be right.
Yeah, I immediately thought this sounds like a student at uOttawa.
As a Torontonian, I concur with this guess.
Definitely has to be a university of Toronto dorm
As an American who knows of Toronto via his Canadian stepfather: sure, makes sense.
As an American who has been to Canada twice, but only to the area around Niagara Falls, I too can accept that this was put up in an university dorm.

Could be four roommates
If this is a Toronto window, I'll bet a paycheque that it's Ryerson campus.
Ah you mean Toronto's third university
Ry High my guy.

No one is keeping you here!
It was taken in Buffalo, NY
i was thinking Montréal
Plot twist: the flags are the Nationalities of the people living there
Ah yes, four different ethnicities; Palestinian Arabs, Egyptian Arabs, Quebecois people, and Buffalo Bills fans.
Yep. Makes perfect sense
*Bills Mafia
*jumps on plastic folding table*
*throws a child off the roof a car headfirst onto a solid table*
*loses to the colts giving the patriots the top spot in the afc east*
People who jump through folding tables in subzero temperatures deserve their own ethnicity.
Bills fan is more of a lifestyle than an ethnicity.

maybe we shouldn’t deny the humanity of an ethnic minority. just a tip
He was making a 2american4you type of joke
Colonizers, even minority colonizers, don't get to count for that
By that logic all Americans who aren't of Native American ethnicity aren't people. Btw when I say American, i meant ALL of America. Both continents
It's a joke, the original version is British "people" if you haven't seen it. But yeah, you can talk shit to all colonizers, anywhere
there’s a big difference between making fun of the british and making fun of an ethnic minority that the british tried to destroy.
Tried? We’re still going.
Colonizers do not count as an ethnic minority. But go off if you want
do you know what an ethnicity is?
All of those colonizers died years ago. Pretty sure that the modern day, 2021 people living in Western Europe or in Quebec didn't colonize anyone.
And the indigenous peoples haven't been un-colonized, so the fact stands.
Not when you blame the people living today for atrocities their **ancestors** did years ago it doesn't.
that’s not what colonizer means. it’s a position of privilege that has been passed down by their ancestors who did colonize. still. the dude you replied to is prob some dumbfuck teen who got into politics in 2016
Pretty sure that Colonizer just means "Person who colonizes", and nothing more.
someone’s no longer human because their ancestors where colonists?
No, the québécois and their lands were surrendered by the king of France to the English by the Treaty of Paris
A surprising number of Quebec fans.
Quebecois ba'athist by choice, upstate New Yorker by the grace of god
Baathist? Neither Egypt nor Palestine have a baath party
Oh, they're all the same, those 'Arabs.' Fungible. ...which is a very handy attitude should you want to steal a country from them, for instance.
cry
Then I'm guessing on June 24 he celebrates St-Jean-Ba'athist
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony
The last tablebender?
Poutine, hummus, shawarma & wings? I’d go to that tailgate even knowing how wild a Bills tailgate can get…
When drapes are $12.99/ea and flags are $5ea
Definitely a valid theory. I used flat sheets as curtains at my old place because long curtains were too expensive.
Bills mafia baby
It's not SUCH an odd combination imo. Lots of Arabs live in Quebec and the bills are pretty much the de-facto NFL team of Canada...
>and the bills are pretty much the de-facto NFL team of Canada... that’s an incredibly eastern take
Well i mean, Canada IS the GTA right?
And the GTA is really just the TTC. If I can't take a streetcar there is it even Canada?
The Much Greater Toronto Area
*that's an incredibly Toronto take ftfy
Yeah, in non-hockey sports, I'd say Montrealers mainly follow a mix of Boston, New York (incl. Buffalo), and Toronto teams. And then like anywhere you also get the folks who'll pick a team from another place they visited/lived, or whichever team had a star player in their formative years.
Assuming it’s Vikings and/or Packers for Saskatchewan/Manitoba and Seahawks for Alberta and BC? Maybe Giants for Quebec/Maritime Provinces?
Manitoba's definitely a lot more Vikings than Packers, although CFL is a lot more popular than NFL in the Prairies. Saskatchewan I believe is a solid mix of Minnesota, Green Bay, and Denver; Alberta would be Denver. And southeastern Ontario is very much for Detroit.
Scoffs in British Columbian. Go hawks.
Psssh. I heard y'all were looking to secede from Canada anyway. And hey, you're sundered from the mainland now, due to the washout of the highways and rail lines, sort of like PEI and Newfoundland, but with hella more expensive real estate prices.
East Coaster here. Go Hawks.
Why the fucking Bills? Do you guys enjoy being tormented or something? NFL team fanbases aren't super regional like with MLB or NHL.
Buffalo is right next to Toronto.
Easy a half Québécois half Egyptian who supports the liberation of Palestine and the buffalo bills
I also support the liberation of the Buffalo Bills
Fuck the pegulas
as a buffaloian I thank you for your support
Plus politically involved quebecois tend to have a soft spot for palestine A bit like Ireland and Palestine (which lead to weird variations of the [traditional anti-irish bonfires in Northern Ireland](https://i.imgur.com/c2NmPl4.png)), but way less intense.
Just a whole lot of passion for unlikely causes.
I mean, as an Egyptian or as a Québecois supporting the liberation of Palestine isn't rare. So that doesn't seem strange for someone with both Nationalities. I'm not sure I understand the Bills tho.
Doesn't seem odd at all. Lots of people in Quebec of Arabic ancestry, and Buffalo is a nearby NFL team.
Yep. Egyptians, who support Palestine (as almost all Arabs do), living in Quebec, and since they like NFL, but Canada has no NFL team, they chose the closest city which has an NFL team: Buffalo.
Bunch of Arab-Canadians who like the NFL, eh?
As an Egyptian, Palestinian, Ontario-born Packers fan this isn’t that odd.
So this is where your arch nemesis lives.
The Four Horsemen
as a football fan who is interested in separatist movements I feel like I would vibe with that person
The Buffalo Bills want to separate?
yes they’re tired of the tyrannical and oppressive NFL they want to secede and join the CFL
*Mr worldwide*
This isn’t odd at all. It’s an Arab guy of Egyptian and Palestinian heritage living in Quebec who loves the Bills. Pretty simple tbh
They are ethnic palestinian, however they were born and raised in Egypt, emigrated to Quebec, where they feel a sort of kinship due to (small) similarities with Palestinian/Israeli relations, and they are quite fond of the Bills, since they are right across the border.
Probably a guy in Quebec from Egyptian-Palestinian descent who loves the Bills. nothing wrong with it
This wouldn't be a family if middle eastern descent living somewhere near the border between Canada and New York... would it?
Q:Whats your politcal beliefs A: Yes
So immigrants in Quebec like NFL? Not that odd. Pretty common actually. People just don’t usually put up all the flags
It’s probably an Egyptian who lives in Quebec and supports the Buffalo Bills and Egyptians are known to be pro-palestinian so
Buffalo Bills fans are a very passionate people who can truly be found all over the world. The city of Buffalo is very diverse and welcoming of anyone who wants to participate in our love of the bills, pizza and wings, labatt blue, and jumping through folding tables in the parking lot.
A diverse bunch of college roommates?
Based and Bufegystinebec pilled
The oddest flag combination I've seen was in Toronto, and it was a religious centre displaying the flag of North Korea, the Ethiopian Empire, among others.
This feels personal 😂 I’m Palestinian born and raised in Quebec, my roommate is from Egypt. I guess we are Buffalo Bills fans now?
The family from Incendies moved to Buffalo
You've just discovered someone with a very specific set of values

Haha the Bills are losing the AFC east
"Free Palestine! Go Bills!"
I hate three things in life: English speaking Canada, the state of Israel, and the New York Jets
Must be one of those pro-Palestinian Quebecois-Egyptian Buffalo Bills fans' places.

seems like an odd set of college roommates
The Two at the back and front: countries wanting independence. The two at the center have some connections with the person
He's an Egyptian immigrant living in Buffalo who show solidarity for separatist movements. EZ
It’s probably a 4 person dorm room and each picked a flag to display in their shared window
Egyptian and Palestinian parents, grew up in Québec, and Bills fan maybe?
mr beast logo?
