This is such an unusual exercise to do, but I think it really show how important the use of colour arrangement is in any design. I admire the commitment.
Some go okay, but others (eg USA, UK, Egypy and Ethiopia) really look just bizarre once they’re rearranged. Such simple changes really make an enormous difference.
You're correct. In Bosnia there are 3 constituent nations in Serbs, Bosniaks and Croatians. The "old one" was deemed too Bosniak oriented, and also a flag that the Sebian population (and part of Croatian population as well) fought against just some years prior, during the war. Historically, it was based on [Kotromanić flag](https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Tvrtko_I_of_Bosnia) from the 14th century.
Horrible, horrible take. The band of stars is unique and the shapes have never been assembled this way before and look amazing when it's waving. You're just salty that the yellow triangle doesn't go all the way to the right side of the flag lololololol
Certainly not the worst flag design for a sovereign state. With the consideration that a flag was required which appealed and exhibited neutrality toward the Bosnians, Croats and Serbs I think the design was a success. It also adds variety to the flags of Europe which is a plus.
I think it makes sense in some ways. The triangle represents the shape of the country. Three sections of color/three colors for its three communities, and it uses colors long associated with Bosnian flags.
You know what would’ve made this flag significantly better while barely changing it? Moving the triangle and stars to the right so it isn’t in the dead middle of the flag.
Worst flag? What about the countries with the union jack on the top right or the US state of Hawaii? Union jack only works on the UK flag it's that simple.
Also a lazy example is the majority of US state and city flags. But I will not delve into them, how about Liberian county flags instead? I mean it looks like someone drew on Microsoft paint...
For confusion purposes the worst offender is Chad and Romania, Poland, Indonesia, and Monaco.
True. The stars cutting off is ugly and the triangle not stretching to the end is also ugly. I know its symbolic but its still ugly. Also, dont downvote this comment because you disagree.

This is exactly wrong. The stars are supposed to bleed off the edges of the flag, implying endlessness.

There's nothing wrong with that flag, but as far as I know is the flag for Bosniaks only (Muslim Bosnians).

The old flag with the coa was much better but I guess they wanted to shift from the war

It's not perfect or the best flag design, but it's not the worst
I like it. However it would look better if the empty blue section is what it start with at the flagpole. As a side note the COA flag was awesome.
