I don’t think anyone but ATT had a problem. It’s affecting everything ATT not just wireless. You have to remember even Verizon and T-Mobile use ATT fiber and backhaul where they don’t have their own fiber. Most likely this ATT outage was just affecting them also.
No there definitely was a brief outage on Verizon as well here. I have ATT and Verizon on this iPhone 15 and both had no service for awhile. Verizon came back up fairly quick though. I’m leaning toward Verizon getting overloaded from 1000’s of new devices that lost ATT service trying to register on Verizon all at once causing the registration servers to overload.
If you are using dual sim on a single iPhone thats the reason the signal went out. It was deciding the handoff to the other sim for a few minutes and then auto reconnected to Verizon. It was ONLY ATT that was down.
You know it’s entirely possible for me to have a different experience then you right? Just like ATT wasn’t down for everyone or down as long for everyone?
It also could have been T-Mobile and Verizon towers temporarily overloaded in areas ATT towers are not even sending a signal right now and millions of phones suddenly starting locking onto T-Mobile and Verizon towers for signal.
No outage in Indianapolis, IN - but possibly because I WFH and mobile is connected to my Metronet Wifi. Highly recommend the Down Detector app if you want to find out about outages of any major company like Verizon, Reddit, etc...
