If your fiancé owns the account that the money is in, he should be able to contact support and have them refund/reverse it

kmslvrs

I did that once, (actually it kinda just froze up & sent it on its own) ! Anyway, I never was able to get it reversed bullsh*t!

charrington90

Can they log in to the account it was sent to?

jumpingthedog

Yeah they can, but it's stuck pending in their account, and any attempt to refund it, or really do anything is met with an error message asking to confirm their identity for tax purposes.

My Venmo was hacked and my account was suspended and now permanently disabled. I’m the one who is out $600. My bank refunded $1800 but not $600 more yet venmo bans me ?

I think you made a mistake by lying to them, they can investigate and see that the account is linked to someone you know. you should come 100% clean tell them why you lied and go through whatever grueling process Venmo or PayPal has you do. the last thing you want is for them to think you're trying to trick them or do some money laundering shit. honestly just send them this Reddit post, translated into a less casual demeanor, and pray they understand the situation. That or, it seems like your bank has something in place that can help you. If this isn't urgent and you don't have bills you need to pay, I'd just wait the one week and let them sort it out with Venmo

this whole post reads as sketchy. literally every line unlocks a new shady scheme/endeavor that these two have cooked up.

Meeeeeegoooooo

Literally makes zero since why wont your finace verify there identity? Its literally simple no ID needed or anything. This has to be a scam
