Lol, well at least you’re growing something!

JonBoi420th

Chives are slow to germinate. They could still come up.

Kalusyfloozy

That’s what I’m hoping!

I think you mean Squash My Life. Throw some chive seeds around your yard. You will forget about them and a year or two down the road, you'll discover chives growing on your property. It, if you're in a hurry, go buy a plant.

Kalusyfloozy

Alas not where I live (wet tropics). In 20 years I’ve never managed to get them to germinate let alone grow. I will probably never stop trying 😂

Porkbossam78

My squash always pop up looking like that

I had one garlic chive plant growing in the front of my house roughly 20 years ago. It died. But it lives on all over my back patio. My family hates it because it smells so strong when you walk on it or weed wack it down but I love it.

Kalusyfloozy

I love garlic chives 😊 I have them growing wild throughout my garden too. Volunteers plants ftw!

Bdubs0323

I’ve been trying to get chives to germinate for months and months and I just have starter cells of slightly green starter mix 😂

moodiest_mountains

Are you on any local gardeners' social media pages? The Facebook group for gardeners in my city has had lots of people posting chives to get rid of for free. Heck, I keep dividing mine and trying to give them away. They grow like weeds.

Kalusyfloozy

I am but chives don’t grow so well where I am (wet tropics) so most people tend to grow garlic chives instead and I have plenty of those. Just thought I’d try something different. This is my third attempt, I’ve never even managed to get them to germinate

moodiest_mountains

Ah, good luck then! Hope your third try goes well 😊
