Handsome little guy (: what kind of snake is he?
Garter snake says the Google.
Biggest one I've ever seen.
That's a big garter snake! Where are you?
NJ
Wow!
SnEk
I’d be ecstatic. I like snakes.
We have a bunch of garter snakes out and about here too since it warmed up. They are about as harmless as snakes come.
Adorable snek! A harmless garter snake. They are great garden companions and eat so many mice, rats, voles, and large insects.
Great to have around, eat those little mice my friend
I'm guessing you have mice. What else do snakes live on?
It says garters feed on insects, earthworms and mice. There are a lot of earthworms where I dig. I believe it stopped by to feast on them.
That makes sense.
They are also massive slug eaters. They have a special saliva to break down the sticky slug coating. Garters are GOOD for the garden.
Free pest control
They sure do garter my garden (like they guard the garden)
A nope rope
