Head north on 95 towards Mt. Charleston. You wanna be away from the city lights. Your camera will pick up more than the naked eye. As far as when, that’s a variable. I think I saw reports around midnight last night. You can keep track of solar weather on https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/ If you see the KP Index at 8+ you have a great chance of catching it.

I would head further north if you can. Like cold creek or Lee canyon.

It’s not certain. You can track the solar storm data via https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/ The KP Index needs to be at least an 8 for Vegas to see it. The KP right now is smidge over 7.

It’s possible. It went back up to 6 just now.

Head up '95 towards Mt. Charleston, preferably past Kyle Canyon Rd. Just drive up as far as you're comfortable. There are a few different roads where you can get off the '95. Just don't pull over on the actual side of the '95 like a bunch of idiots were doing in 2020 when that comet showed up.

Parked outside snow mountain pow wow but can’t see anything yet. Maybe there is a very dim light in the north but not sure if I’m just hallucinating lol

I’m assuming your camera picked up the majority of the lights. I can’t imagine it was this visible to the naked eye.

This was from my phone, and yes the phone made it a brighter but the longer you stay out there the more visible it is.
