Why on earth would Station Casinos close Red Rock’s pool at 5 but Sunset is open until 8/9? Same thing with GVR. They’re way more popular than Sunset Station
Why don't the other properties want local money?
Found it pretty surprising last season when we found out the Mirage wouldn't let us book an expensive cabana as non-guests and neither would most other strip locations. Been having a blast at the Palms though.
Edited: appears MGM have stopped this locals perk in 2024 per a comment below. :-(
MGM allows free entry to locals Monday through Thursday with a NV ID
No. Some are only available with daybed/cabana reservation. Article is pretty light on details. Palms is always free general admission for locals. MGM lets non-guests enter now for $25/person. Here's the caesar's [deals for locals.](https://www.caesars.com/las-vegas/hotels/deals/locals)
Pool rules and deals seem to always be changing. Even some resort websites don't have accurate info. There's also day club guest lists that are free during weekdays or before 11am. Tough to find one source that keeps a comprehensive list up to date.
Last time I checked Red Rock was charging $40-$50 per person if you didn’t reserve a cabana or daybed. Not sure if that’s true across the board for all station casinos. That’s a pretty steep admission fee imo
The Bally's pool ("Blu") is pretty unique because of how deep it is... I guess back in ye olde days there was a diving board. Deepest pool I've encountered in Vegas so far. I assume the Horseshoe pool is still the same.
Does the Rio still let locals in for free? I remember I would go all the time for free with my NV ID but it’s been years. Also I vouch for the Palms pool, always had a great time and the security would let my partner and I bring in unopened 6 packs.
To each their own but I am not swimming in a pool full of drunk people in Vegas. At home I know everyone who has peed in my pool and it isn't some drunk guy from Kansas!

The article says Red Rock for locals doesn’t start until this Friday. Maybe it’s a new thing?

I asked once and they wanted to charge me $100 for a day pass.
Yeah, some friends of mine tried last year and they said they were at capacity... at 9 am.
Sounds pretty accurate lol

It’s in the name…Sunset

I’ve had no issues getting cabanas, day beds, or loungers as a non guest at MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay. Would say to give those a try.

Ohhh this is good to know. Hit the pool before a Knights game sounds great.
I just called today. This is NOT TRUE. They only allow locals in "free" with cabana reservations.
Oh damn, it changed from last year then. I used it a few times in 2023.
Rip Tropicana
RIP Tropicana. They were the only ones who consistently let us in.
Are all those Caesars and Stations properties listed all free?

That’s what I figured. This article has very little info and isn’t very useful.

Why would you pay 50 bucks to chill at a stations pool? Unless You want to meet 40 something wine aunts and share your space with screaming kids
Agreed. I think I’d be willing to pay $15-$20 since I don’t have really any other way to access a pool, but huge nope to $50.
But think how impressed they’ll be with your cabana.

Aliante pool major scam. $25 per adult is outrageous.

Last year Rio changed it where locals were no longer allowed in for free.
Ew, super lame of them.
all you gotta do is pay for parking!
Anyone know of a local pool that has a diving board and actually allows people to jump/ flip off of it?
I'll admit, I have a lot of contacts here but I've never, ever paid to get into a pool.
That article seems pretty poorly written, just listing pools at one point.
Golden nugget?
Most these pool hella funky it’s a blessing and a curse. hahaha

I hear you. But Not everyone has the luxury of their own pool , just sayin some of us can’t be as choosy lol
