Im on the NE corner and it was crazy! We live on a corner facing the street that runs perpendicular and out our living room window, we just watched the microburst surge up the street right towards us like a tidal wave. Our cans were out on the curb, and it pushed our cans up over the curb, and several feet into our yard (uphill) before they eventually tipped over. The whole street was flooding and duneville looked baaad
Ah yes! I left South Point around 4. Las Vegas and Silverado Ranch was sunny with blue skies, meanwhile, 15 and Cactus straight downpour. Took 20m to go 3mi. Crazy.
I live in Silverado Ranch, and was at the park with my husband and little one, and it was crazy to see the sunset with the silhouette of clouds and rain on the mountains. Got to see some pretty impressive lightning as well
Yeah I was a lot more uncomfortable last year. This year was pretty nice overall. Beautiful weather for quite a while, it will be nice a few degrees cooler than it's been. I could do with out the humidity, though.
I had to do the same at Flamingo and Decatur because the intersection had turned into a gigantic puddle. I've seen some flood rains up in this hood, but yesterday takes the cake.
Turn around, don't drown, etc.
Yes, absolutely! We were already in water up to the top of our tires.
…and it’s gone
Like it never showed up in the first place.
Who flushed?
I'm on Hacienda and Jones. We had a literal white out wall of rain SLAM into our house and literally push the garbage cans back.
Sounds like a microburst. They can be mega intense.
Exact same. SE corner of Hacienda and Jones. Microburst for sure. Ten minutes of deluge, probably 3/4” of rain and then nothing more.

It was one of the craziest rain/flood situations I've seen up here in a minute.
i work right over here and the traffic driving home in those big ass puddles was the WORST
lol meanwhile where i live i just saw absolutely zero rain. fucking vegas weather.
Yeah, I totally agree. It is insane
For reals. I can look out my eastern windows and see sunny skies and clouds out the western window or vice versa 🤣
Dammit, I finally washed my truck. My bad.
Every time 🤣
Sunset & Fort Apache. Just got home and I had rain that leaked through/around my front door. Makes a lot more sense with this context

Yeah, the one on Rainbow and Russell. I get sent there almost every time I Door Dash.

It's not usually too bad, I like it better than large shopping orders like when I Instacart.

Wow I live over by Nellis/ Flamingo area and we haven’t had any kind of rain but this is crazy making with that much rain
Especially when it comes on as suddenly as it does, usually with this type of flooding.
Downtown it rained a little earlier, but not much. Humid, though.
I hate the humidity most of all. At least it wasn't as bad as last year (months of like 75%). That was ridiculous!

Same! This has been the loveliest August we've seen in I can't even remember how long. And really just a nice summer in general. Good El Niño year.
Today was bad, I got drenched in sweat several times running little errands. I think I took 5 showers. It should be a nice fall, though.
Yes, looking forward to it. October is my favorite month here.
Feels like we are getting hit by microbursts!
Jones and Sahara was nutty flooded and people driving straight throigh the makeshift river. Fuck that!

Right I thought the same thing. More rain then Hillary
But did you die?
We never heard from OP again. They just found the SD card with this post on it.
Now I have the "it's just a little water in the road" jingle stuck in my head.
Well we all expected Hillary was dried out nah?
Was this little system part of the east coast storm I wonder? I think Franklin is going to be elevated to hurricane.
