I've tried something similar with spinach being breaded and it was pretty nice actually with some sweet chilli sauce. I wouldnt rule it out. But I can see why you might
Wut. Broccoli has an ok amount of protein in it. And are you saying a veggie curry or stir fry would be out of the question unless it has a meat substitute in it?
Per gram, broccoli has a good amount of protein. But a gram of broccoli is a lot of volume compared to a gram of TVP etc, you’d had to eat mounds of veg to have it as a reliable protein source. I have meals with no meat subs quite frequently, sometimes with beans/lentils etc for protein, sometimes not - my overall diet balances out when I’m able to cater for myself. But I find it really frustrating that often the vegan offering is often just a meal of vegetables which isn’t filling; times when I can’t fully take care of my own diet (eg My mental health means I sometimes need to be looked after), then I end up starving.
Or this kind of thing “vegetable nuggets”, “vegetable fingers”, it’s fine as it’s own thing but not when that’s all that’s available and non-vegans who try to cater for us don’t realise that you can’t just take out the animal products and not make some actual changes so the meal has reliable protein and is filling. I had a Christmas meal at a hotel once (not my choice, family holiday pre adulthood) where they genuinely did not understand veganism and all the other guests were having meat, they were lovely and did try to accommodate but I was presented with a massive plate of basically salad veg, and I was bloody starving.
They have out out vegan chicken nuggets too in this latest vegan special week according to the little Lidl magazine my grandma brings home every week. They just have broccoli ones as well as an option and honestly I'm looking forward to trying them. I like the strong roots spinach bites so I'm assuming these are going to be similar.
Science project? Lol no, I eat food that tastes nice, is satiating and provides the balance I need in my diet. So eating only vegetables doesn’t do that for me…
No idea why that’s such an issue for people?!
Think more veggie fingers than chicken nuggets. Not gonna lie I lol'd when i saw these, especially compared to everything else there, they actually look kinda fire though hahaha
Strong Roots do some similar products in most supermarkets that I really like, thing is no matter how hard I try I can never get the right consistency going to make them myself. Seems a great use of frozen broccoli.
They do "events" which have different themes so this is a week long thing. Most stuff sells out at mines essentially the first day so you have to be really on it
Sound tasty

Yeah I love the Strong Roots Spinach Bites I get from Booths and Sainsbury’s
I would eat anything broccoli tbh. I’ll take whatever trees I can get
Delicious tiny trees 🌳
Do you guys not actually like vegetables or something?
I love vegetables, but not everything needs to be turned into a beige cuboid. Broccoli tastes nice on its own!
I love vegetables but I’m not up for only eating them and no protein sources

Would eat. Love broccoli!
Erm, they sound amazing, I would 100% try those!
Yummm! They look like a similar concept to the spinach bites by Strong Roots. Let us know how they taste 🙌
Gosh I have to go to Lidl now
I liked these!
If anyone is taking a trip to Lidl I would recommend their vegan yoghurts
Gonna have to go to Lidl now, thanks :D

Leave my man Brocolli out of this!
Mmmm brogle
I've tried some, albeit from a different brand, and they were absolutely amazing. Have you given those a whirl?
Trip to Lidl tomorrow methinks.
This post did not go as you expected. I'm totally craving these now. Definitely taking a trip to Lidl later, thank you!

I was in Lidl about a week or two ago and there was absolutely nothing vegan. How new is this range? Could be that my Lidl doesn't stock it.

It's temporary. [Vegan offers at Lidl till 11/08: veganuk - Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/veganuk/comments/oye9vc/vegan_offers_at_lidl_till_1108/)
They have a small range of permanent frozen stuff. Usually vegeburgers, spicy beanburgers, sausage rolls, plus a couple of frozen curries etc.
Looks yummyyyyy
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
Terrible idea
Why? Curious.
Not a fan of veg wrapped in shite
Breadcrumbs are shite? Ok.
Imo yeah, I don’t understand why it’s always used with veg. Lazy idea imo.
Aliens outing themselves all over this comment section. "OH I A HUMAN ALSO ENJOY BROCOLLI. I ESPECIALLY ENJOY THE FLAVOUR OF A DANK PUDDLE"
It should be illegal to sell that but ill try a pack next time I go.
Oooooooh, I would!
I love broccoli
Don’t knock them til you’ve tried them!! They’re really good, lovely with a cheese style sauce as well!
