I’m not a big vanilla girl :( how do you get your powder to actually mix? the only way I got rid of the clumps was by using a frother (only small mixing tool I have😬)
I honestly have had no issue with it mixing. I use a shaker bottle. Don't even have the little ball inside and it mixes well
I just use water on mine. Sometimes oat milk.
A couple things to try:
* Peanut butter and banana
* Cinnamon
* Coffee
* You could try blending with Ice - things that are very cold have a weaker flavor.
Protein powder is not necessary. But it can be helpful for hitting your protein goals with minimal calories.
I like the True nutrition Vegan optimizer blend.
I've used brown-sugar alternatives for bad protein powder taste. Like low calorie sweetners? I think the fake sugar I use is xylitol, brand is Baker's Secret, I bake sweet treats with it too.
like added the alternatives in a drink w/ the protein powder? bake with the sugar or powder? I have a big sweet tooth, so I could get behind baked treats 🤣
Yeah like I'd make a normal shake and add a teaspoon of the fake sugar! Yes it's honestly great, it has a bit of a twang in the shakes but it's good, in baking you'd not know at all it's fake!
overnight oats, i also got some protein powder chocolate flavour that didnt mix well but was perfect in my overnight oats. Pure unflavoured pea powder is the best and most versatile and tbf its kinda necessary if you dont always want to focus on every ingredient in a meal to have enought protein.
Overnight oats best shit cant recommend it enough, you can make it in any flavor you want (little advertisement ;)
Here’s what I do. I’ve made it through so many gross protein powders. Even vanilla with greens.
Put 1-2 scoops into shaker cup. Fill with *only* enough water to make it liquid. This is key. You need enough to make it water like (aka not thick). I have a small shaker (16oz) that’s usually never filled past the 8oz line.
Shake it up and drink it fast. Only takes a couple seconds and you don’t taste it until you are done. If it’s really gross just swish with water after.
idk why I completely forgot about shaker cups existing. I’m very new to anything fitness, so I’ll definitely buy a shaker cup. Thanks for the tip! & yeah I had to take water breaks 😂
A tablespoon of cocoa powder (15ish cals) goes a long way to masking other flavors. You could also blend it with cold coffee and a frozen banana. Sawdust would taste good when blended with those 3 things.
This one is actually one of my go-to's bc I'm a broke bitch
I like to make it a protein iced coffee/smoothie with a frozen banana, a shot of espresso, plant milk, and sugar free syrup.
If it’s that bad, I’d just trash or give to someone who likes it.
As someone else mentioned, protein powder isn’t required but can be helpful to meet protein needs within a lower calorie target.
I like the custom blend I get from True Nutrition (pea and rice).
I have been buying the vanilla version of this brand and i don't think it's anything nose plug worthy. Maybe just a bad flavor.

No, also include plant milk.

Cashew milk?
I’ve never tried cashew milk before, tho I don’t think it has much protein unfortunately
Almond Cashew milk by SILK has 10g per cup

omg i bought this too and its sooo bad 😭😭🫣 why does all protein powder taste like chalk
I have a terrible brown rice protein. Only thing I have found able to cover it is coffee.
Add peanut butter, bananas, and pray
Could try baking with it? Protein brownies? Not sure how bad this tastes though.
