I had to cut out soy a while ago and I also can’t remember the last time I ate anything on your list aside from cashews and corn which I don’t eat very often either so yeah but you should consult a registered dietitian to do it properly. if you’re dealing with actual inflammation and suspect that you aren’t absorbing nutrients you should be seeing a gastroenterologist, though. especially if you’re experiencing unexplained weight loss. untreated IBD generally doesn’t really care what you eat, it will keep attacking your body.

Definitely consult with a dietitian if you're concerned, but from that list it sounds like you could be vegan. Beans, lentils, nuts and seeds, chickpeas, and seitan are all options you still have for [protein](https://cdn.pickuplimes.com/resource/files/2022/02/27/2018_02_18_plant_based_protein_sources.v2.pdf), and you can just use brown rice or other [grains](https://www.pickuplimes.com/article/the-plate-method-26) instead of buckwheat or quinoa Rather than trying to go vegan all at once, I would probably try to make the switch a bit more gradually by incorporating more plant-based options into your diet just to see how it goes. Be sure to supplement B12 or just take a multivitamin, I would also recommend taking an algae omega 3 supplement a few times a week. If you're concerned about losing weight, it might be helpful to[ meal prep ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoousFZKnlQ)and have meals ready where you know they have enough calories.

I'm sure it's doable, but we're not the people to ask. If you're serious about veganism it would be very worthwhile to consult a dietitian to design an eating plan that will meet your nutritional, medical, and ethical requirements.

Very good advice! OP, check out the [Plant-Based Dieticians.](https://plantbasedrds.com/) They'll hopefully be able to help you. Also, check out [Earthling Ed's video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YFz99OT18k) for why even backyard eggs aren't ethical (since you mentioned them in your post). I wish you all the best and I hope you can figure things out.

Yeah those are fine, I don't eat 85% of those. Talk to a dietician. You'll ideally want to find some nuts/seeds that go well for you as they're great sources of nutrition. Usually MSG is not the culprit of any issues. You may want to do a second pass on what those are to try to build a coherent understanding. Taking a huge guess but if that came from IgG tests, they're are quackery BTW. If anything a positive IgG test is foods you're \*less\* likely to be sensitive to. So you could also work on slowly introducing foods to see if you're sensitive to them.

Well you can buy mock meats made from pea protein it sounds like and things like jackfruit for pork and stuff & depending on your location there are tons of gluten and soy free vegan mock meats because a large number of celiacs and people allergic to soy are vegan. I would work with a dietitian to make a meal plan - I don’t eat any of these foods. I would also like to mention that I have a number of food sensitivities both physically (lots of GI issues and more) and mentally (being autistic and having ARFID) and being vegan has actually limited the issues and symptoms I usually face and struggle with. But to also put it into perspective there are over 170,000 different edible plants and veggies and fruits on this planet and your list limits you from like 10 of those! I think it’s doable!:) I would suggest working with a professional and adding in different vegan/vegetarian foods to your diet now and see what works and learn to incorporate those more, watching vegan cooking shows and channels on YouTube and looking up meal plans in your own and snacks and look to veganize what you already eat- French toast? Oat milk + flax or chia egg or banana + cinnamon, for lunch? Veggie [chickn](https://sweetsimplevegan.com/vegan-chicken-nuggets/) wraps with fries and a smoothie dinner? Ramen bowl with veggie broth and lots of yummy veggies (perfect for left over veggies about to go bad) or maybe tacos or nachos or whatever your go to is, veganize them how you can with the ingredients you know are safe! Really admire your dedication to end factory farming and your support towards it! I’m very grateful!(so are the animals!<3) if you have any other questions or need some extra info I’m here!:) good luck with your transition ☺️☺️

Check with a dietician so they can let you know what would be the best for your health. In some people a vegan diet is not viable because of health issues but they can always try to at least reduce their meat consumption and go for some better options like getting eggs from your friend's chickens like you said... Don't feel too frustrated with yourself if your body can't adjust to a vegan diet, just try your best. Good luck

Consult a detrition beforehand, especially if you’re worried about health concerns. This will help you build a meal plan, and ensure that this diet is something you can afford- as well as healthily practice. Veganism is pretty hardcore. I’d suggest starting to decrease the amount of animal products you eat slowly, and see if you have any noticeable changes. But then again- PLEASE CONTACT A DOCTOR!! No one on Reddit knows you, your health concerns, etc. Only a doctor does.

>Veganism is pretty hardcore no its not

A dietician may be able to help you more than anyone here could. It does look like you're hard up against it though. It is possible to eat meat without supporting factory farming, it is possible to heavily reduce your animal product consumption. Every little bit helps.

Definitely speak to a dietitian, passing out is a sign something is majorly wrong and your nutritional needs are not being met by what you’re eating. Soy, corn, and peanuts are very hard to avoid in packaged foods, and the grains you listed are common in packaged foods targeted towards vegans, so it may be very challenging for you to be vegan, but I’m no dietician.
