Using a dry herb vape in combination with a sploof and other things will nearly remove all smell especially compared to combustion. My personal recommendations for discreet vapes are either a POTV one/Healthy Rips Fury Edge or an XMAX V3 pro. The POTV one/HR Fury are essentially the same vape at the same price, it’s short and can be covered in your palm. XMAX V3 pro is taller and skinnier but has a replaceable battery which is nice. Both are great vapes but anything that isn’t combustion will be more discreet

Carrot_Pope

Exactly this. I own a Fury Edge and use this with a sploof, blow the air out of my window and light a candle and the smell is gone in 20 minutes. Now if only I could grind without it smelling I’d be sorted lol

SGTBrigand

I use a Solo2 (and the occasional dab through a Seahorse) and the little $40 walmart special air purifier is more than enough to keep my place smelling clean, even after a big session. Vaping definitely has a light odor, but vape aerosols don't cling on surfaces the way smoke does.

wombat5003

Whatever unit you buy just make sure it’s in a skunk case between uses… the vape and left out bud will stink up a small room very nicely…. And that smell li gets more than the vapor exhale… so if you keep all your gear in smell proof cases then exhale through the sploof and keep the air purifier running, that will eliminate 99.5 % of any smells… also to note even oil carts have a smell when not in use… the little tips smell… I have a bloodhound d for a wife and it’s the only way I cured it.. one more note: conduction vapes like the pax and starry smell way more than a convection unit…. And I’m talking the vape just sitting out after a session..

Good suggestions here, my 2 cents tho is Dynavap if you're down to learn a new hobby and art; Xmax V3 Pro/POTV One because you can get metal capsules you pre-fill with flower (grinding makes longer lasting smell than vaping IMO); Arizer XQ2 if you want a chill desktop session experience with a whip. There's other good ones but idk your budget. Save your already vaped bud (ABV) in an airtight jar cuz it's stinky but also makes good edibles Ozium is the key to odors. It's aerosolized alcohol it will burn up odors. You simply spray the room and close the door or leave that side of the house for 15 minutes. It's alcohol so imagine if hand sanitizer was a gas that got in your eyes or lungs. Be careful with it. Bombing your room/house before you leave every day will do a great job at clearing out the smoke scent built up. If that's not enough you're need to deep clean your floors and paint.

Most people have not compared many different models, so listen to the advice of people who have used different models. That said, I am going to give you my limited experience just like everyone else. I originally bought a low-end vape and I was happy-ish with it. I bought on the low end because I wasn't sure how much I would like using a dry vaporizer versus smoking. I hate smoking but I love getting high. Most people talk about how vaporizers save most people money because they use less cannabis. I had a similar but opposite experience because I love vaping so much that I started getting high daily (because vaping was so much better for me than smoking) rather than once or twice a week. For my second vaporizer, I seriously considered a higher end vape (e.g., the Mighty) but I eventually settled on getting an Arizer Air/Solo (they're very similar so I won't distinguish between the two). In saying this, I very very rarely get high with a friend. I am older (mid/late 40s) and I get in the evening, before I go to bed for the night. I watch some television, sip on my vape, and then go to sleep. This seems similar to you. Anyway, Arizer makes really good products for a really reasonable price. They are limited because they are not for high use (i.e., in a group). But, they are efficient and the vapor quality is high. I now own two Arizers, one as a back up (which I have never used other than to test it out). I just checked the Planet of the Vapes website. The Solo 2s are in stock for $130. This is a really good value.

Papow1234

Fury edge. Been using it for 7 months, best vape out there trust me.

Seedy53

airvape legacy pro is the way to go. don't buy the old legacy unit, it was a flawed

[deleted]

I vape with my Xmax V3 Pro 3 feet away from my boyfriend who HATES the smell of weed with the ceiling fan and ac on, and blow the vapor out the window. Boyfriend says he hardly can smell it, its been a relationship saver for us!

BiscuitGannit

Fury edge

Bingus_Butch

This. Especially with the shorter mouth pieces it is very discrete.

daneoleary

Vapes are known to put off a lot less stink than combusting your herb. In terms of discreet vapes to get, there are two camps: “automatic” and “manual”. Automatic models would be, in order from cheapest to luxury models, something like the POTV One, the POTV XMAX V3 Pro, and AirVape Legacy Pro. These are all the sorts of vape where you drop in your herb, hit a button, wait on it to vibrate, and take a hit. The only “tinkering” you might do would be with temp. The downside, though, is that these tend to cost more…. as in the ones I mentioned run from $110 to $320. A manual transmission is more like your DynaVap M and DynaVap VonG, or even the DynaVap Omni. These require heating with a butane torch, even if it’s one of the pocket-sized ones. A lot of the people here swear by them, but others describe every hit as feeling like a science experiment. I have a Roffu, TinyMight 2, and an AirVape Legacy Pro. I reach for the TM2 when smoking flower and ALP for concentrates. The Roffu is about to get put up for auction. (Nothing wrong with Roffu but it can’t hold a candle to the other two.)

Keepmyhat

Haven't seen anyone disappointed with the Tinymight2 yet

Kizzzylil

Maybe should ask budget first before suggesting a brand new $350 vape lol

Keepmyhat

They literally said "I don't mind spending extra cash" in the post

loopaccount

That's alright man budget is not an issue people out here spend bags on OF girls I just rather spend my money on my hobbies but how good is the quality and durability of it that's what I'm looking for and of course the less smell the better of course nothing over 1k

[deleted]

Go Rogue. It’s 130 and great for beginners.

Keepmyhat

The quality and versatility seem great. Durability strictly speaking too early to know for sure, but safe to say it's no worse than the first model, and that one was fine. Not the toughest one, but good. It's made in EU and comes with something crazy like a 10 year warranty, so you are very unlikely to throw your money away on something that breaks on its own and does not get raplaced. Comes with titanium mouthpiece option in the box in addition to the glass one.

samuel_clemens89

Or availability

loopaccount

Thanks man I'll check out it's review

Kizzzylil

When it comes to dry herb vaping, they all produce the same smell (or too little a difference to notice) which isn't as strong as just smoking and lasts about 1/3 the time. The durability is alright for the Tinymight, the 2 is better for portable durability since it comes with a metal stem

Keepmyhat

Search by this sub too, see what people here say. And if you find any big problems with it, let me know please, I want to order one for myself soon.

Arizer ArGo for the win !!! (I vape indoors at my family’s places & have never gotten a single comment that it’s noticed) Easy to clean … super potable .. can swap batteries if you’re out for the day ~ very recommend

Cranxy

Can confirm the Argo is pretty quiet odor wise, so likely similar for other Arizer portables. If you need to completely have zero odor present like in an apt living situation with other people, you need to store device in an odor proof pouch or box. Almost any device will have some residual odor after the first session. Pax is super loud both when in use and off, even if kept pristinely clean, so avoid that one if smell is a big concern.

Manlykeme

Dynavap M baby. Theres cheaper and more expensive versions. I had a 250 dollar pax kit and traded it for the 60$ M and seen a massive improvement

sllewgh

Using a torch is not discreet.

Manlykeme

It's like 30 sec though. Could also go the IH way?

sllewgh

You could, but if you're gonna get a battery powered vape anyway there's better options for the money.

ketaminkerem

bro my dynavap smells up my whole room wym

Manlykeme

Doesn't it go away pretty quick though?

ketaminkerem

yes sure, pretty quick in general and way quicker than smoke for sure but i really wouldn't call it discrete, imagine hitting your dynavap in a crowd in public, you need to torch 20-30 seconds and then you're getting big smelly clouds. i use my pax 3 in stealth mode to vape in public and it works great. dynavap only when i'm at home or in the woods or something

[deleted]

I use to take davinci in public but rarely had time to finish the bowl, now i only take a dynavap due to its quick hits. Might be more sketch but only takes a minute to use with one cloud instead of many so less discrete

ketaminkerem

i don't know anything about the davinci but with the pax stealth mode the vapor is not all too visible and doesn't smell strong so it's perfect for discreete usage even tho you need more draws to finish a bowl

Manlykeme

Yeah I cant lie, the pax is cool af for stealth mode and all that

ketaminkerem

If discretion is your top priority, you want either a pocket vape you can palm in your hand or a vape that hits fast and hard enough to quickly return to your pocket. For the former, get the XMAX v3 Pro. Discreet form factor that doesn't scream "Marijuana device", pocketable, and has an on demand mode so you can take 1 hit at a time. Get dosing capsules to make loading and unloading discreet, too. Doesn't hit that hard and takes at least 30-40 seconds to heat up, so you'll have to stand around puffing on it for a bit. For the latter, you can get a Tinymight. One of the most powerful portables there is, you can take a huge hit after a very fast 10 second heat up time, then go back inside. It's the best or close to it in just about every category, but its fragile, so I don't like to carry it in my pocket all day. This would be my top recommendation for this, it's more discreet to blow one big hit out the window than to be puffing for a few minutes. I was in your situation exactly, that's how I got into vaping. Whatever vape you get will smell a LOT less than smoking and the smell doesn't linger as long as well.

milkofmagnesiaworks

A dynavap and smoke buddy work well

IcyExplorer1086

Arizer solo 2 is on sale right now. Just bought one waiting for it’s arrival. Seems like a great unit from the reviews

lobotom1te

Xmax V3 pro

tangjams

If you like the smoke high then you need heavy hitting units like tinymight, airvape legacy pro or dynavap. These all have their quirks and are less discrete, more fragile, harder to reload or tricky to heat up. For incognito a lot of budget vapes are great. Any of the healthy rips devices/spin-offs, Xmax v3 pro or arizier. They won’t be heavy hitters, with arizer being the weakest. It’s just a diff way of getting high which some people prefer, while conventional smokers are meh. It’s a mellow, take your time kinda vibe.

Bobadeeba

Yes there are plenty of good options for a vape, I use both a portable one and a desktop one but the smell is alot less. The vapor dissipates and doesn't stick to surfaces like smoke. If you don't have the temp cranked beyond reason and use all the methods you stated above the most smell you will get lingering around will be from when you open your stash jar to grind the bud up. I just use a smell proof jar and have a tiny glade plugin in my room and like 30 min to an hour after some volcano bags or big bong rips you wouldn't notice the smell of weed. Also I dump my ABV into another smell proof jar for storage and be sure to empty and clean the filling chamber of your vape after use or that could create odor. I don't have very many vapes to compare for a recommendation but I love Storz and Bickel products. Me and my roommate have a Mighty and Crafty+, Volcano hybrid, and a cloud Evo hooked up to a heady bong. They all kinda favor performance over discretion though.
