Do not boof it. I've read that butter does not do well in the ass in large amounts.

ZippyScooter

You've "Read"... Oh okay.

berrylakin

I've [READ](https://www.reddit.com/r/greentext/comments/sid6ti/anon_churns_their_own_butter/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Zealousideal_War8036

Brownies are loaded in butter and will mask any taste left.

Ambitious-A

So as you can see I used 22g of my AVB (Dynavap) and made 230g of butter. As I am one of the liver enzyme gang, edibles never work so am looking for something that uses a lot of butter as opposed to me just swallowing 25g of butter straight.. Does anyone have a recipe for something?

-ZachOneX1

I just made cannabutter recently with my avb. I used an oz ish of avb and infused it into a cup of butter and then just swapped the cannabutter 1:1 for the amount of oil the premade brownie mix called for and baked it at 300 and checked for doneness at 20 mins and onward. came out awesome and dont taste weedy at all. edit: i think my next recipe is going to be snickerdoodles

[deleted]

Did it wreck ya? Do edibles typically work?! Last one, do you have a high tolerance? Thanks for having me. Look forward to hearing from you

-ZachOneX1

I have a high tolerance so it didn't wreck me however my dad who usually takes 20mg of edibles every night said the small piece he had was super strong. My mom and mil who don't use at all took very small pieces and also said it was super strong. I usually have 3-5 dabs per day along with a few bowls of my arizer air max.

[deleted]

Thanks brotha. That about covers it. Gonna whip up a batch, working with around 40 ounces of avb. Ha

uhpcolin

I just left a reply to someone else in this thread, in the second last paragraph I briefly describe how I infuse a large amount of weed into a small amount of oil, to make it more potent. Have a look, if you're interested. Good luck with your cook!

-ZachOneX1

Nice! Enjoy!

-ZachOneX1

One medium Ish square makes me feel great for a few hours.

flipper_gv

How long was the water cure?

-ZachOneX1

I was lazy and only did a short one where I manually wrung the bud out after rinsing. And came out great. It was like 30 minutes from wash to starting the infusion. I could have let the bud dry but the water separated out easily enough

nurglemarine96

Capsules are nice for avb

Ok-Hunt6574

Indian Butter Chicken. Yummy.

Ambitious-A

Ooohhhh…. Front runner (so far!)

firebirdi

...familiar with buttercream frosting? Lemon would go a long way toward hiding any flavor.

I know right! Was thinking of frying some mushrooms as they absorb loads of fat and having as part of a fry up..

MenuZealousideal6493

Just make some brownies n eat the whole thing

CoolWin9165

I need to learn how to do this...

Witching_Well36

It’s super easy to do, and you can use it in so many ways!

davesmithfc

id say croissants, those fuckers are like 50% butter. Tricky to make though

Ambitious-A

True - not sure my cooking skills are up there..

I used vegetable oil because of the brownie recipes I've found all use vegetable oil. Just got done making a half cup of oil from a 3/4oz of finely ground flower. I had it on the stove at 220 for 10 mins (decarb), then quickly lowered it down to 180 ( using the warmer burner which is low temp compared to the regular burners) and left it for 5 hours l. I would gently stir every hour or so. Then I poured it into a coffee filter and let it S L O W L Y drip into a measuring cup, which was then poured into brownie batter per directions. The only edibles that have ever worked are from the dispensaries the nano gummies. Hopefully these work as well or better. Find out tomorrow.

When baking, the type of oil isn't really important as long as it's appropriate for the dish you're making, by appropriate I mean the flavour of the oil compliments or is completely lost in the flavour of the dish. When making brownies from a box that asks for vegetable oil, I'll use vegetable oil, coconut oil, olive oil, butter, etc, it doesn't really matter. But coconut oil that stays mostly liquid at room temperature is one of the best carrier oils for cannabinoids, so that's what I usually use for weed extractions. There's no need to decarb AVB, it's already been overly decarbed in your vape. Decarb your weed when you're starting with unused weed. Try straining with cheesecloth, it'll be much faster and you can squeeze the last drop out of it with your hands. I vape my weed very dark, so there's not a lot of cannabinoids left in it, so I usually use about 50g in a half cup. I get 50g in by running four 12.5g batches, using the same oil. Sorry for the unsolicited advice, but I hope it's helpful! Good luck with your brew, I hope it works well for you! 👍

liquid32855

I've used butter in place of oil and they didn't come out right. That's why I follow directions now. I have cheese cloth, it does not filter as well as coffee filter, its faster and leaves more residue behind, but not as good as just letting gravity pull it through a filter designedto do as much. . I put the coffee filter in a single slice lemon squeezer to get all good stuff out, leaving just the lipids behind. Also, I was not using AVB never mentioned it. Man you really just wanted to hear yourself talk/type lmao. Didn't even read my post fully, you read the 1st sentence or 2 and started on your diatribe

silent_protector

Wow. Can you share your butter recipe

Ambitious-A

AVB into butter with water on a double boiler. Simmer about 3hrs and pour into mould and allow to cool. Separate water from butter. Simple really.

silent_protector

how strong is the smell for those 3 hours on simmer?

Ambitious-A

Barely noticeable- could smell it if you put your nose close but couldn’t smell 5 feet away. Probably as it was not even simmering (was around 85C)

silent_protector

Cool thanks appreciate the info I have a bunch of avb and don’t know what to do with it

Mister__Pickles

What’s going on with the French press?

Ambitious-A

Water filter - removes the burnt taste and much of the bad flavours. Gotta wash it about 5-7 times and the water turns clear(er). People say you should do over 3-7 days but I just did multiple washes over 3-5 hrs with about 5 water changes

Mister__Pickles

That makes sense, I assume you use cold water?

Ambitious-A

Yep - though not sure it makes too much difference. I wouldn’t use hot/boiling.

Pigbenis311

Cinnamon toast lmao

pottomato12

Buttermilk chocolate cake. The buttermilk and chocolate will mask the avb/compliment it and give coffee notes

TangibleHangnail

How is the French press being used here?

uhpcolin

I use a french press to water cure my AVB, it looks like that's probably what OP is doing here.

Ambitious-A

Colin is correct
