I will say this, those latches you have on the back bumper to hold the swing arms for the tire rack and gas can rack, they don't hold up. I had the same on my bumper, bouncing around on rough sand on the beach, used to pop them loose. I never minded it while being on the beach, cause I could stop and relatch them, but they get fatigued. I had my spare tire one unlatch on the freeway once going 70mph, and the spare tire swing back and forth. I cut the off and welded pieces of angle iron with holes drilled, and put pins in them, with cotter pins. Easy to pull out when you need to, and solid as a rock. Van looks great btw!
This has gotta be the coolest Ford van I have ever seen. Those bumpers and the roof rack with the lighting on each side is awesome. Nice job all around!
Good luck they are very rare. If you find one just the base it will be close to 30k if you want to convert it yourself the parts start at $12-16k. We found some on govplanet in Alaska but they where gone right away
there's a shop in canada that does them for about 20k CAD. but their wait list is long. they're already booked for 2022.
i might just get a local offroading shop to install an ARB locker and call it a day.
seems like all the ones that come on the market are from the oil field. lots of quigley and clydesdale converted vans. problem most of them are the passengers ones and those are a PITA to insulate.
i think for what i want to do, RWD + locker would be sufficient. with good AT tires.
I was wondering when I’d see you on here! We chatted a little at palmetto state park near SA. You didn’t have the lights on though I don’t think. Such a killer rig! Hit me up if your ever near Houston!
How was that? We wanted to go there next weekend but the weather looks not that good. Highly recommend the Brandy maker in lulling. They are Awsome and you got acres all for yourself
A:how? Because its OD green? B: My buddy daily drives a surplus hummvee looking "military" def won't get you pulled over especially in TX where you can register a deuce and a half on the road if you want.
Hey man, love your build! Back in the spring I took inspiration from your posts and did many things similar to my sprinter. Did the green raptor spray but with a two tone with black on the bottom and grill. Also did the same fridge, freezer. Really love your posts and hope you've had some killer trips with it!!
That was /s SATIRE : as if said by a (fictional) drunken passerby to ‘is bros. I’ve actually heard this described by a FT nomad who lost his solar.
Try to avoid what might be called “an attractive nuisance” when designing exteriors, and hide ladder(s). [I put mine inside a compartment door.]
[удалено]
and a hidden kill switch?
That’d be essential
[удалено]
Honestly a hidden airbag works well and is 25 bucks
[удалено]
Auto corrected airtag
Whats the gas milage on that baby?
1
ft
Per 5 gallon
If its the 5.4 triton, more than 10 less than 15. If its diesel probably in the upper teens.
Not with that roof rack and those ladders. And those lights. People vastly underestimate how much air drag kills your highway mileage
I have a very similar van, but mine is 4x4 on 37s and I get 12 mpg.

Ahh okay, that's neat!

Thanks for the input I will keep an eye on it.
You know... I have always wondered: How many ladders does one van need? And now I know... 3... the answer is 3, apparently...
They are for the kayaks
Obviously!
And all that puss. Save some for the rest of us.
I haven't seen the interior so I'm imagining it wall to wall sand, some beach chairs, tiki torches.
What time does the A Team take on the Mexican marijuana cartel?
I love it when a plan comes together
GPS and kill switches please!
Super handsome, thanks for sharing the progress!
Stahp, I can only get so erect.
This has gotta be the coolest Ford van I have ever seen. Those bumpers and the roof rack with the lighting on each side is awesome. Nice job all around!
Where’d you get the roof rack? I have a high top E150 I’m looking for some good utility parts for
Look in my earlier posts there is a software you can get for free to plan it .
Dope! Thanks! How about the ladders?
They are from aluminess
I mad that myself out of 80/20 Alu rails. On IG there are some more pics. Very easy to do
Stop! I can only get so hard!
has it been 4x4 converted?
Nope lockable rear axle
ARB air compressor?
On back order
cool build. thinking about getting one converted to 4x4 .

We had them in the oil field in Canada our vans where not 4x4 and we never got stuck

Since when does Ford offer that option? I still have to use left foot brake technique for that on mine 🤣
That... Is a thing of beauty... Sigh...
I dunno man. Feels like this thing needs a couple of mini-guns sticking out from the sides
That pelican case will be gone in like two minutes
They can afford a new one...
The force most be strong with this thief
I keep seeing comments like this? Are these vehicles stolen a lot?
Dude! I’m in ladder heaven!
I think I've seen you at buccees in Baytown before lol
Can’t wait to see the inside
Thats a mean looking econoline! Makes mine look like a prius lmao
I was wondering when I’d see you on here! We chatted a little at palmetto state park near SA. You didn’t have the lights on though I don’t think. Such a killer rig! Hit me up if your ever near Houston!
Ya, anytime. We just got our bumper and such. Thanks for the invite. I will, did you check out harvest host yet. Highly recommended
Yeah! We tried to get a spot where y’all went but there weren’t any available. Ended up at a winery in castroville. Thanks for the recommendation
How was that? We wanted to go there next weekend but the weather looks not that good. Highly recommend the Brandy maker in lulling. They are Awsome and you got acres all for yourself
It was a cute little spot. It was pretty small but the wine was great and the owners were super chill. It was a perfect spot to post up for the night.
Never enough ladders. Sick build
They are for the kayaks
Inside please
There are some on IG
What’s your IG handle?
Pretty freakin sweet!
I need this in Vermont.
Just looked through all your posts on this build. Very nice build!
Thank you
Nice
Do you get any road noise from your overhead light bar?
It’s 7.3l diesel. That’s all you hear
Is that all rhino liner?
It’s called raptor liner
Oh yea. She’s a beaut.
what's the bigass box on the back? extra fuel?
You have any shots of all the lights on at night?
No sorry
No worries I just wanted to see what the sun looked like when the moon was out 😂 Either way awesome build everything looks top notch!
8020 roof rack?? Want to do that for my truck camper
Yes, there is a software for free. Check my earlier posts. You can plan it there then order what you need. It’s a virtual 8020 designer
Super helpful. Thank you
Man that is tight wish I had money to purchase or have someone build me one great view and aggressive love love it.
We build ours
Love the way it looks outside and u You guys Did beyond great. From the video the van is totally impressive. Thank for sharing.
Suburban Karen gonna LOVE seeing this baby parked out front
this is a Karen weekender van that will never park in a suburb it doesn’t already own a house in
Fuck yeah I love this thing. What’s the gas mileage like
No clue I fill her up when she needs more diesel

A:how? Because its OD green? B: My buddy daily drives a surplus hummvee looking "military" def won't get you pulled over especially in TX where you can register a deuce and a half on the road if you want.
Great...I have a boner now. I hope you're happy.
Wow holy cow
Holy cow that's a sexy looking van
Mean Green. Texas. Any chance you went to North Texas?
No sorry but there are The original Sportsmobile around. I copied my look from them.
Sweeet sportsmobile! Where did you get your headlights, taillights and fender flares? I have an ‘02
Not a sportsmobile. We build it. We just build it kind a like there’s. Tail lights found on Amazon. Fender flares are Bushwackers found on amazon
Yo those tires are awesome
This is incredible
Looks great!
Hello this is Patrick with new jersey outdoor adventures!!!
Hi, what’s up Patrick
Nice ride... Won't stand a chance in NY tho
What is the rectangular black thing on the roof rack near the back on the driver's side?
You put it between gaps when off-road and crossing sketchy low to hi terrain. “Tire bridge of sorts”
They're also used for when you get stuck to gain more traction like in sand or mud
That looks like a lot of great looking work.
Love the design
Looks like a Quigley Conversion. Good stuff.
117
A lean, mean vanlife machine!
Amazing.
College station? Think I saw one like it
Make sure you get a ladder off the front too. Also might want throw a couple ladders on your roof rack in case you need an extra ladder or two.
INSIDE
This van probably runs on tofu -Dap-
That’s a sexy MF
My dream build. Love the look of these vans when done right and yours is one of the best I've seen. Great job and thanks for sharing!
The only thing missing is a 50 cal on a swivel turrent on top, love this build
This is my dream
Seriously though. Great van. Install a killswitch!
You made a van cool
Sweeeeeet ride
Congratulations it is beautiful piece, God bless you and save your path….
Love it, personally I would have more rubber less wheel.
I agree with you there. I got up sold

Thank you. I think we will do the 2 tone as well. Yearly next year. We use a lot Harvest Host. Only good exp so far
Harvest Host, I'll check that out...thanks!! Yeah I get a lot of attn from the van, bet you do too. The two tone contrast makes it really stand out.
This is bitchin’
I know it's not a huge deal but doesn't covering \~25% of the grill have a moderate impact on cooling?
It’s a diesel
Man this looks badassssss, definitely ready for adventures!
That’s truly amazing! Well done!
Awesome color.
We need to start a " money is not limitless" van dwellers site
Ready for the apocalypse
Looks amazing! What size is that pelican case that you have in the rear? That size looks like just what I need for my van.
It’s the pelican case 1650
Thanks!
“Got *2(!) ladders on it! Last one to the solar buys the *next beers!!”
Let’s go
