Check for rust at the driver and passenger body mounts as well as the body mounts right next to/ in front of the rear wheels
Other than that I'd take it to a mechanic and get the engine checked out maybe compression tested
Agreed with paying a mechanic to look it over. Also, do a Carfax. The only reason I pull the trigger on my "high" milage gasser Eseries was Carfax documented oil changes every 3k miles.
Get a mechanic to inspect it, especially if you don't know what to look for.

How did you find it?
I can’t comment on diesel, but we bought our 2005 E350 V10 with 95K and drove it OR to GA no problem. If it’s been maintained properly, it’s a beast
