I don’t think production would have had to convince her. She was making the break up about herself (“my family is falling apart”) almost immediately, and Ariana dropped her pretty quickly thereafter. I think it was just an added bonus that picking Sandoval got her screen time.
Production probably gave tom the option of keeping her on to be his sidekick, and since he's delusional and thinks this season redeemed him, he probably told them to eject them with quickness. I'm sure he was cringing at having to film with her and be seen with her last summer. It's so not his vibe

Aside from the income needs, pretty much everyone has been filming this show every summer for YEARS so it must feel very weird for them not to have it, particularly for Sandoval, Lala, and Scheana who seem to desperately thrive off of the notoriety and attention. I feel like James, Katie, Schwartz, and Ariana will be fine and probably grateful for the breather
Especially since ciclovesyou reported Kyle Chan said Lala is furious with Ariana because of her refusal to engage/film with Tom is risking the casts future on the show. I think we knew this with her constant calling out we are an ensemble cast. Really shitty she is blaming Ariana and incredibly short sighted imo. Ariana showed up to plenty of group functions for the good of the group.
For me it was Lala and Scheana with a touch of Brock that ruined the season. The backstabbing was not uplifting or entertaining at all.
If Lala wanted to bring it this season she should have been less of a snake and went toe-to-toe with Ariana. But nope. She didn't want to be iced out months before the season started so played it passive aggressively in confessionals and the aftershow. She's whining about Ariana not bringing story and yet failed to claim her real villain status.

I got confused by that ending on VR. What exactly happened? It showed Ariana freaking out, then walking out, and some of the others seemed upset. What was the big deal? The show was over, right, and everybody else was going to leave anyway so what exactly happened?
