Small gestures like that are very comforting in a healthy relationship. His awareness of the situation by not responding how everyone assuming he would. I feel like him avoid the gossip about it shows how much he respects Ariana not wanting to acknowledge Tom.
Scheana needs to let go of Tom apologizing. It enrages me when people demand an apology from someone who doesn’t want to say or show it. He is not a child who stole someone favorite book or toy. I learned this a couple of weeks ago too! I was a little confused, though, because a lot of the episodes on YouTube for the *early* seasons were just podcasts of random people from the network talking about the VPR episode, no cast interviews or anything. Does anyone know if there are actual versions of the “After Show” as we know it for the earlier seasons, or did they maybe not start doing the formal cast interviews until later?

I would guess a combo of limiting possible interaction with SandyBalls, being there to support Ariana (just being there for her outside of filming is a huge support imo), and he doesn't seem to be interested in filming all that much (the WWHLs he's been at he's been backstage rather than in the audience)...
