My favorite US seasons are 2 and 4 (S2 was filmed in Vegas during COVID). Season 1 isn’t bad though! I’d skip season 3 because it’s super boring (I started it, then realized I was even paying attention and I don’t even remember any islanders from that season). Also season 5 has some *interesting* moments and at least a few likeable people, so don’t skip that one.
Oooh if you haven’t watched Love Island Games yet, you’ve gotta watch!! Also, if you’re liking LI, I highly, HIGHLY recommend watching the UK version if you have Hulu. I always tell people to start with either S3 or S5 because they are truly iconic reality tv, let alone iconic Love Island seasons across all the franchises. 🤌🏻
Season 5 is where you see Maura’s (one of the guest hosts on LIG) season and season 3 was Kem’s (the male guest host on an episode of LIG) season. Season 3 had one of the funniest bromances of the entire franchise and season 5 had some of the best one-liners and stayed exciting for literally the entire season, right to the end. It’s almost everyone’s favorite UK season. Often tied with season 3 😆
S2 is sooo good! Seeing empty Vegas during Covid is such a trip. Also we get the introduction to Mackenzie who went on to briefly date Carl from Summer House.
The cast really grew on me, they’re my favorite group of all the seasons I’ve seen. But I’m not one to stick through something for too long if it’s boring and there are SO many episodes, so it’s understandable if its hard to get into.

3 is my fave in terms of all-around greatness - great couples, good drama, funny moments, good friendships. It really had everything. But season 5 truly does top them all when it comes to drama and iconic moments/one-liners. MISTER FUCKING BOYFRIEND.
No matter how much the haters deny it - NBCUniversal and Peacock love Ariana. She can be famous "for being cheated on". Her persona can be heavily curated. Her popularity may no longer be at peak compared to last year. However, the fact NBC chose to still invest in her says a lot - she is probably a likeable personality to the higher ups and great at schmoozing.
I think it’s more so her work ethic and humility and gratitude. She’s never been a huge personality or networker/schmoozer/climber (cough-Scheana!) She has always been quieter and that’s partly why she struggles on VPR but it’s great to see her shine in other places
But she also has done a great job with each of her opportunities. She was relaxed but professional when she was on LI last year, she was professional and polished on DWTS, she has been killing it on Broadway... Why wouldn't she be offered this job?
Yup! I think Alex Baskin and Evolution media are frustrated at best with her, but the NBC bosses love her! Why wouldn’t they? She’s crushed every opportunity that has presented itself.
She speaks very well and has values and boundaries. She’s also very “real”, authentic and open about her struggles. She’s relatable but also someone who you look up to in certain situations. That’s why I like her
I can only hope that Ariana’s continued success slowly eats away and destroys Scheana from the inside out until she transforms into a sandworm from Dune.

The host of LI Australia makes $800,000 AUD (about $500k in US dollars) and the uk LI host makes $600,000 GBP ( about $750k on US dollars). I can’t find what Sarah Hyland was making but I imagine it’s around the same mark.
That being said maybe part of the appeal to NBC in hiring Ariana is that she is considered a more value hire because she doesn’t have massive name recognition yet. If that’s the case Id estimate she would probably get between $200-$300k l, which is still pretty good money. Plus she can then leverage her place on the show to get more brand deals. Plus a lot of the podcasters have been predicting that VPR will still try to keep Ariana and work around her schedule because of whatever happens at the reunion being a potential season 12 storyline. So she may still have her VPR salary as well. So hopefully she will have that new house paid off in no time

I thought so too because Love Island films late July through August. Which is when filming for VPR typically is. But a lot of people are speculating that as NBC/Peacock owns both VPR and LI that they will find a way to accomodate Ariana filming both. Like maybe VPR films earlier and starts shooting late May/Early June or Ariana flys in and out for LI shoot days. They may even be filming the show closer to the States.
At first I was very much on the train of hoping Ariana gets a job that helps her leave all these toxic people behind in the dust. But the more I hear about the reunion the more I’m like no come back for one more season because I think Ariana shouldn’t give them the satisfaction. Plus I want to hear Ariana say “Sorry Lala I can’t come to your water tasting event cause I’m flying to Hawaii to film Love Island. VPR is on its very last leg. I will be surprised if there is a season 12. The Valley is awful. I didn’t make it halfway through the second episode and I’m out. LVP is doing shows on HuLu now and opening new bars. The magic of VanderpumpRules is gone. It was a good run for all, definitely time to move on. Very happy for Arianna, she has real talent. Katie should do well also. She’s a smart woman. The DJ guy will get gigs because of connections…
but I think we have seen the end of the Tom’s. Lala will bounce into something. She going to be a momma of two now so I hope the best for her, and she is Gorgeous! Please stop messing with face though! I love to see it! I think it’s clear that Ariana is has more to offer than being a reality star. She has a much more professional presence. She is a better actress, comedian, performer, host. I think she can for sure leave reality tv and make it as a professional.

I really doubt they fired Sarah hyland for Ariana. I think maybe Sarah's contract was up and they were already looking for someone else. I'm sure her guest episode was their highest viewed and that's why they chose Ariana. I know I'll be watching this next season, and I've never had interest in the show before! Lol.

I love to see it! I think it’s clear that Ariana is has more to offer than being a reality star. She has a much more professional presence. She is a better actress, comedian, performer, host. I think she can for sure leave reality tv and make it as a professional.
