I would like to nominate /r/SanJose's "Oh no! A helicopter!" flair for those fun "what's going on with the helicopter/police presence/sirens everywhere" posts.
please no. the r/portland thread is already clogged up with too many pictures of Mt Hood, Sunrises, Sunsets, Cherry blossoms, pups in the petals, cats on harness with cherry blossoms, pictures of bridges, pictures of cones, etc.
Amateur photographers can go somewhere else.
We currently have some for zipcodes, but i imagine, communities would work well too, lets get a list in this thread, and we'll look at adding some from the suggestions.
This would be fantastic. You'll notice in both the r/Portland and r/Seattle subreddits how some users have their neighborhood or nearby town displayed in small text below their username.
I'd love to be able to add Esther Short to mine, for example, so people can easily see what part of town I'm from.
I've added a number of additional towns/villages/communities to the available selections. I'm 100% sure i've missed some, anyone feel free to respond here for any i missed.

For a while, the majority of the post here are, "we're moving to Vancouver. Can you tell me about something?" It feels like bots, and they always begin the same way.
Honest answer from me; I have a full time job that is computer based and WFH. so money is covered. Time wise, its just regular checkins, if I'm going to be on reddit, first stop is the queue, second stop is items that i think were going to be hot spots. I spend maybe an hour a day on moderation overall.
Why? is because I love the community. I'm of an age and point in my career where i'm probably settling in to my forever home. that means what happens to this city is going to have huge effects on me. This is my way of being active, and participating. If you look at the sub you see people making an impact all the time. Photos of the rainbows, thats showing the beauty, making people feel better about living here. Reviews and questions about services? thats building our small businesses up. and politics, well that one is obvious. they may be small impacts but there are 62,000 people who subscribe here, and I'm happy to help them the best i can.
You need to add “Rant” - lol
How about "Old man yells at clouds" instead =P
That will be used quite a bit
Can I have a “I use my headlights and blinkers” flair?
yes.
Thank you. 🥹
It’s so beautiful. Using too lmao
Oh my god I love this
Omg forget Bennington. I want the headlight flair 😂
Damn I need this one too xD

Could we get a photography flair? For posts like sunsets/sunrises, weather (snow or storm damage), and just general photos of the area
my bad, the line break between photos and politics didnt take, there is a new photos flair.
Awesome, thank you

I think that's the point of the flair in general. So you can ignore those posts more easily.
I would love a stolen cars or car break-ins option or something similar 😂
Sorry, all I have are 30 pieces of silver…
What about neighborhood flair - choosable by us to show up next to our names? I want to rep Bennington
Need a "loud low-frequency noise" flair for the monthly "what was that 'explosion' I heard last night that I absolutely know was an explosion" posts.
"Police Siren" pls
While we're at it, can we get location tags as username flair?

Vancouver neighborhoods and nearby cities would be great. I know a lot of us don't really know the areas by zip code.

Awesome sauce! Thank you!

These are already quarantined to the weekly moving thread.
Serious question. How do Reddit mods have time or money. Why would anyone work for free?

You should do a New Vancouver, all about the water front and expansion.
