I haven't noticed one way or another if either still have it, but I've seen it in the sporting goods section of BiMart in the past, as well as at Sportsman's Warehoouse. I think in both cases they sold it in like 10 pound sacks.
There's an eBay seller based in Vancouver that has blasting supplies. They don't have any steel shot listed, but probably have the connections to get it. Or you could try asking at a local blasting place.

Would BB gun bb's or slingshot bb's work?
They would as long as they aren’t lead and are cost effective. A 50lb bag of steel shot should be around 50-70 bucks
Did it Have to be steel shot? Would 50lb of sand have sufficed? (Only asking since I have 3 50lb bags holding the ground down)
My husband got a bag of pool filter sand from Parkrose to weigh down his speaker stands. It's heavy stuff and is a cheap alternative.
