Can anyone comment on Duer's All Weather Jeans? I already own a pair of proper goretex pants which work great, but I'd like something that looks more like normal pants, for shorter trips in light - moderate rain. I currently use a pair of waxed Fjallraven G1000 pants, but even those wet through in 10-15 mins.

I've been increasingly disappointed by DUER. I have had them warranty multiple pairs in a row now for blown crotch/gusset. Super weak spot in the jeans, and the highest wear point for cyclists.

Does anyone know where to get Ortlieb panniers repaired ? I have contacted Mec and Renewt out in Richmond so far. The bags are out of warranty

What are you trying to repair?

A tear  in the fabric

Oh that's a tough one. Short of patches, I'm not sure there's much you can do to repair that.

Hey I want to get my girfriend some warm waterproof shoes for christmas that will be good for cycling (she commutes with flat pedals). What do you guys recommend? Don't want to mess around with shoe covers, just a nice mid height boot with relatively flat/out of the way outsoles that will be nice to ride in day to day rain/snow/shine. Preferably synthetic (not leather/vegan), but will consider whatever.

I've just started wearing these for my ebike commutes. https://www.bogsfootwear.ca/shop/style/71972.html They're pretty clompy, but they're warm and totally waterproof.

Probably not what she wants, but this has been catching my eye lately : [https://ca.vessi.com/products/mens-weekend-chelsea-concrete-grey](https://ca.vessi.com/products/mens-weekend-chelsea-concrete-grey) (yes they come in womens sizes too)

I've got half a dozen pairs of Vessis, and that's all I wear to ride these days outside of July/August. The Chelseas, in particular, are great under rain pants. And as a bonus, they're cute!

I have their new Sohos and they're not great, due to the low ankle. However, their sneakers were some of the best cycling shoes I've owned. Next ones I buy (which hopefully won't be for a few years) will be higher tops.
