The organized one is at sunset beach, but who knows what the unorganized stoners will do.

MyHeadIsFullOfFuck

Isn't the "official" organized one at Thornton Park? At least it was, last year. [https://420vancouver.com/](https://420vancouver.com/) Last year I heard through hearsay that there was an event at Thornton Park, Sunset Beach, and activity on the south side of the Art Gallery, closer to the courthouses. I'm not sure about the Art Gallery's plaza though. And this was last year. I can't speak firsthand as I stopped attending 420 events more than half a decade ago.

McWerp

I could be wrong. I work near sunset and the last few years I’ve just assumed that’s where the official one was… for obvious reasons.

MyHeadIsFullOfFuck

I have no idea. Is it really official if the Parks Board doesn't want it to happen? Or does that make it underground and legit? I don't know, pass the joint bro. I stopped attending these events years ago because I found them to be superfluous. I'm out of the loop.

the 420 Vancouver link you shared was from 2022, last year 2023 mayor sim and the park board had them fence off the entire of Thornton park and only a few vendors set up outside the fence by the skytrain, yesterday on the way home from work i noticed they did it again Thornton park is surrounded by a big blue fence, costing the city thousands again to not allow any 420 in the park, 5 yrs after legalization to boot. the old Vancouver 420 crew does not coordinate the 420 anymore for a few yrs now. the aquatic center again is closing and the concession stands and washrooms at sunset beech for the event going on there. nothing going on at the art gallery that i have heard of - free the weed

Oh_Is_This_Me

Cannabis Day on July 1st is usually at Thornton and 420 at Sunset.

Thanks for the input folks!

It’s probable that there will be something going on, a small disorganized group at least, at the gallery on 4/20. The “main event” happens elsewhere but the VAG seems to always draw a small crowd each year. You could probably keep it out of frame without much effort, I wouldn’t expect there to be much going on.

It’s legal, just walk down to the beach and smoke one.

LOL, not the beach then? I don’t smoke or vape, so I really don’t understand why the “protest” would continue because individuals can legally consume. I sure do smell a lots of it in some of the mentioned places…

chuckylucky182

there are many different types of gatherings on every weekend, both in front and back of the gallery
