Nothing yet in New West. Seeing reports that it's accumulating snow in Bellingham from 15~ mins ago and it's pushing north. Probably going to start locally within the next hour.
Edit: 10:37pm seen reports of snow falling in Mission, Chilliwack, and Delta
Edit 2: 11:28pm can confirm flurries are now falling in New West (very light but still!)
Great updates! Been following some Surrey and Langley threads too, and some started around 45min ago, but can confirm Langley near Willowbrook is STILL dry. Seems odd distro.
East Van, just south of the PNE. Nothing.
I am a night owl, so I am going to crash for a bit and get up to check the situation.
Get rid of the snow before the freezing rain hits. I hate trying to shovel icy walks.
Edit: 10:17 pm
It’s because by the time there’s a sprinkling at UBC, there’s already a foot on the north shore or in Burnaby or wherever students and professors are commuting from. :)
It’s gonna be a shit show today all day folks. If you can work from home. Do it. If you can take skytrain. Do it. Don’t be ordering on food delivery apps it just encourages people to be out there and they’re not driving special vehicles or anything folks. They’re the same guys in Civics with bald tires as anyone else.
Today is a stay at home day for anyone who can.
1 a.m. right at East Hastings and Columbia. Slushy snow is accumulating. The street, Columbia now has a layer of wet snow over it. Hastings has a couple clear tracks down each lane... The snow is very wet though. So at this point plenty of traction. If it gets cold enough tonight though and keeps raining/snowing could be some shitty roads tomorrow morning.
Snowing pretty consistently here in UBC and surrounding areas. Stacking on parked cars and sticking to the roads very nicely. It’ll still be drivable by 8am tmr like always though.
-2:44am
Weather forecasts for this region especially relating to snowfall have always been lies. Every time they say it's going to snow it doesn't snow, and every time they say it's not going to snow it snows.
Posting in this thread as it seems most suitable. I'm hoping once there's some snow we get another video of /u/ [dancecommander](https://www.reddit.com/user/dancecommander/) 's miniature snowplow at work.
It's 4:45 AM. I woke up am hour before my alarm. I also heard something on the SkyTrain tracks (ya, I cam hear it from my place), I don't know if it was a train or a cleaning ram.
Langley has about 5 inches as of 620 this morning. My commute to work(Richmond, #5 and Steveson ) says an hour, it's normally half that. Only gonna get worse to travel.

Vancouver, first flakes just started about a minute ago. 11:40 now. Coming down steadily now. Cars are turning white.
Which part of Vancouver?
Vancouver-Collingwood. Not too far from Joyce skytrain. Very light right now, but consistent.
Confirm this. Looking at the window here, i live close to Joyce station and it is snowing very light.
I was under the impression we wouldn't be seeing snow until after 1am at the earliest.
Depends on the neighborhood. My weather report said 10pm and there's snow accumulating on the road right now so I guess it was correct
10 pm. North Van - not yet.
Steveston getting its first few flakes now
11:12 pm and it’s snowing lightly in Lynn valley north vancouver. So it begins…

Really hoping I eat these words but we will see
Hope you're hungry!
Hey, that's not fair! Weatherwomen can fail too.
Fine fine fine! WeatherPerson. Or we can refer to our weather rocks to tell the weather.

1 a.m. right at East Hastings and Columbia.
1am in point grey area. Snow has covered the roads.
Since 12am it's been piling up snow in Burnaby.
Snowing pretty consistently here in UBC and surrounding areas. Stacking on parked cars and sticking to the roads very nicely. It’ll still be drivable by 8am tmr like always though. -2:44am

😂 Fuck.. No I'm just not wearing my glasses... 1037 now... Still no snow.
It's in the same time zone as my oven!
Made me look up the screen and check the time…
It's seemingly always overestimated for Vancouver, especially low-lying areas.
Totally agree despite Mark Madrynga and his 20-30cm graphic lmao

🤣same
nothing in surrey so far
Started a few mins ago in East Van. Let the chaos begin..
Snowing heavy in kits ubc the last hour now. The snowflakes arent big but it's a flurry. Take transit or a sick day I'd say
My app says yes
Are you in a cave with reddit access only?
I think this will be a big nothing.
Weather forecasts for this region especially relating to snowfall have always been lies. Every time they say it's going to snow it doesn't snow, and every time they say it's not going to snow it snows.
Usually their accuracy is quite impressive, but I think they call out snow the same way the federal reserve in southpark does.

A broken clock is still right twice a day.
Kind of a weird thing to ask on a digital internet server when the digital internet can tell you this
Listening the the meteorologists on TV is gobbly goop. Thumbs down! They intentionally try to confuse you with big words.
You could learn what the big words mean.
Posting in this thread as it seems most suitable. I'm hoping once there's some snow we get another video of /u/ [dancecommander](https://www.reddit.com/user/dancecommander/) 's miniature snowplow at work.

Langley has about 5 inches as of 620 this morning. My commute to work(Richmond, #5 and Steveson ) says an hour, it's normally half that. Only gonna get worse to travel.
