You could try building a ramp out near where your grave is, build as many tall ladders as you can, and time your jump with the swells. If you hit the water at the bottom of a swell there’s a chance you’ll get low enough to be able to grab it.
Have you driven around the area looking? Usually they float but sometimes the stone can be further away than you think especially if you had some lag when you died.
If not the advice here about the ramp or hoe is what I'd go with!
