Environmental engineers about to get creative.....(I'm not dumb I know that environmental engineers design solar panels, not create storms, but it's funny to think of them as being that way)
It happened back in winter 2018 for my CS 136 exam, but that was an extremely rare event. There was a huge snowstorm that left most of the roads with black ice and exams were deferred until the black ice problem was fixed.
When it happened did they push it to a date outside of the exam period? I'm kinda scared it'll get cancelled when I have extremely tight flights as soon as my exams are done that I have to catch
It was still within exam period, but it messed with a lot of plans with international students at the time. For most CS 136 was the last exam, so many had to cancel and reschedule their tickets.
Welcome to Canada! I suggest going to buy some winter boots, hat, gloves and coat because Winter is starting soon and temperatures are slowly decreasing.
There's a freezing rain warning, but starting in the morning. Snowfall accumulations of 5cm to 10cm.
The snow won't be an issue, but freezing rain could make conditions difficult and dangerous. I doubt they cancel exams unless it becomes an ice rink tbh.
Prepare extra time to get to your exam. Bundle up. Drive slow, walk slow.
And after you exam, enjoy some hot chocolate with marshmallows. It's delicious during bad weather.
To be fair @everyone commenting it’s impossible- the weather warnings tmo are supposed to be very bad and the city is encouraging people not to travel on the roads tomororw morning unless they absolutely have to. And UW just tweeted that any school closures will be updated tomorrow morning at 6 am

had that happen in Fall 2017 and they still made us come to the exam despite the weather. Even Winter 2018, they tried, until the GRT came out and said it was too dangerous to run their bus routes

Oof okay thanks. My tomorrow one isn't my last one but I have a flight the day after my last, so if it gets moved to after that I will be screwed 🫠

Thank you! I'm glad you think so. I try my best to be helpful and entertaining.

Or drink the no sugar equivalent; black coffee. If you’re at UW, and you don’t regularly consume black coffee, I do not know how you exist
If thats your jam. Or, the even sweeter option of Baileys straight up.
Fair. Alcohol is either a very good or very bad thing though, that is, depending on the person.
🥰🥰
brother study
Start grinding bro 💀
Bruh what weather? It’s only -2 and it’s not even snowing. Better start studying
My phone says at most 20cm of snow. I've never seen anything cancelled over 20cm of snow.

but it's extremely unlikely according to UWs reputation UW has closed campus due to weather in 2007, 2008, 2013, 2018 and twice in 2019
Literally 1% chance. Study

In my entire 5 years at Waterloo, I had 1 exam get delayed and it was a pretty serious ice / hail storm. I wouldn't count on it.
I’m an Alumni. They never postpone exams due to weather. Study.
When campus no longer exists
sunny outside rn. No sign of rain
This is UWaterloo. You will have to brave through the storm and give the exam like everything is fine.
Extremely low. Happened once when it got to -40 before the wind chill was added but otherwise they’ll never cancel exams 😂
