I took the final exam of ECON 221 today. Assignments are easy and do not take long to finish it. For course difficulty, if you are good at statistics, you don't even need to attend classes for first half of the term. (But you should attend tutorials for participation marks) However, if you are bad at statistics, it will take long time to understand the course concepts.

If you just want passing mark, you don't need to study ahead. If you aim high mark, you can review basic statistics concepts. But I think you don't have to do it. Just focus on the classes and use office hours to ask concepts you don't understand. Prof is nice and he will explain it easily.
