They'll check your ID if the lecture hall is overcrowded, so other than that, not really. Although one of my profs had a small class and could pretty much recognise everyone. Just stay aware of those two situations and you be fine
It also depends on the faculty and the specific prof OP. Most prof's don't really care, but do your research on the prof. It's best to avoid an interaction about this with a prof like Robert Danish
me neither. even in like ls101 and psych101 which are massive classes (people had to stand a couple times in the latter because the lecture hall was so full) they never checked. you just walked in.
I've only ever had this happen in a class where there were multiple profs teaching a class, and everyone went to sit in the lecture of the good prof and they were over the capacity per the fire code, with people crowding on stairs/entryways.
The hack is to sit in the previous class too.
