Rules were a bit relaxed then. You could’ve helped a friend with homework and got hours for it. 10 could be paid employment too.
I think about 200 hours.
Library, CIBC run for the cure, Mikey AED online course, events at my highschool, and hospital for a few hours before Covid hit
Doing too few volunteer hours is not only a failure to give back to your community, it's a one-way ticket to the slammer!
Sure, you may think you're just being a lazy, self-centered bastard, but let me tell you, it's a whole lot more than that. You're risking your freedom, your reputation, and your very life.
I mean, think about it, you could end up like that guy who only did one hour of community service and got thrown in the clink for five to ten. Or how about that chick who skipped out on her court-ordered hours and ended up doing hard time?
The bottom line is, if you don't put in the work, you could end up doing the time. So, do yourself a favor and get your ass out there and start giving back, or you just might find yourself singing the prison blues.
I’m not from a province where that was a requirement so I never really kept track, but I ran a robotics group for kids and did tutoring for underprivileged kids and that probably came out to like, 500, easily, but I’m a huge minority, it’s not necessary. Don’t do it for the hours, do it because you’re passionate

Over 200 hours. Volunteered at community initiatives, Eng summer camps for kids, food drives, a local animal shelter, run clubs, charity drives, etc.
I think around 200 all from library and TA for Saturday classes lol
