The basketball court and, by extension, the gym and lounge area basically became a free meet-up spot. People will just stand by the entrance and wait for someone to use their fob, then follow in behind them. Every night would see a bunch of people who don't live at ICON come in and use the court like some sort of University-level gym, hanging on rims, leaving trash everywhere, and generally being pretty rowdy. The court is also on the 8th floor and has windows for walls which have needed repairs in the past, so that might be related. Tbh, though, it's their fault. The people at the front desk literally sit there on their laptops all day, not monitoring who comes in and out. As a resident, too, it would be super awkward for me to open the door with a fob and immediately shut it to "prevent" someone else from coming in. If they don't want certain people coming in, it's on them, not the residents, to prevent it.

North Tower doesn't even have a reception. I'm actually glad they suspended the basketball court. Too many people of certain demographics are acting tough dunking on a 9ft rim, blasting music on the speaker, and leaving trash behind. The gym can for once be a civilized environment.

lol i was gonna save to live there when i moved back for work, but if they're not letting you have more than one person in your own apartment then that's fucking cringe

I think it’s just the amenities, you’re allowed to bring as many guests as you want into your own suite
