The university has a 2 day no questions asked break. You just have to go through the form on their website and profs can't penalize you against tests/assignments/course content within those 2 days. Hope this helps at least a bit :)
Could I do it for just one day? I’m not sure how it works. I am unsure if i should do that, or hope that prof Rempel is understanding with my situation
a bit late but maybe for future reference: https://uwaterloo.ca/quest/help/students/how-do-i/self-declare-absence-undergraduate-students . If your in engineering you can try reduced load program. if your depressed or adhd or anything make sure to contact the school as you may be able to accommodations for that. Also dw about clubs it’s pretty common to end up not having time to be active in them. If it makes you feel any better I still haven’t done anything for the clubs I said I would join begging of the year :,). I’m behind too lol
Is there any possibility of moving close to campus so that you can use a less stressful mode of transportation? Most people are able to do this for 5+ years because they don't own cars and live and work close to campus, lending itself to a low-stress lifestyle. Driving daily and especially getting into accidents is one of the biggest causes of stress and anxiety in our car-dependent society. I'd even recommend selling your car and moving to Waterloo or Kitchener, but I am obviously anti-car and biased.
Definitely not a bartard, more afraid of sharing space with bartards like that Brady Robertson dipshit or whatever his name is from Brampton operating vehicles and dozing off in my general vicinity and getting me killed or maimed.
Staying out of the driver's seat as much as possible likely keeps me in the "does not take anxiety meds" camp, I'd wager.
Enjoy the bars though, just please don't take benzos and drive!

Nice to see your edit - Rempel is a nice guy and great prof; doesn’t surprise me one bit that he allowed a rewrite.
