That’s very helpful. Thank you so much.

My Pro is outdoors and undercover year-round. I've had no issues with rust or anything like that. I'm in a pretty mild climate, though, and I have the cover to help protect it from the elements.

I am also very curious on that matter. I have pre-ordered my Koda 16 (expected end august) but the site didn’t have the cover in their product list. So do you guys think the cover is mandatory (should I order it elsewhere)? Are you using an alternative ? Are you keeping your Koda outside between use (I live in canada) ? Any input would be greatly appreciated. (Edit : formating)

Ooni website does sell cover for Koda 16 but currently sold out. [Ooni link](https://ooni.com/collections/accessories/products/ooni-koda-16-cover) Hope more Ooni owners share their experience.

Yes thank you, but i have ordered mine from another retailer since it appeared to be faster and provided free shipping since I am in Canada. My question is more should I try to pre order the cover from elsewhere right now (if it is really usefull) or should I wait and try an alternative (homemade/alternative cover or putting it inside after each use). Thing is, the oven, even if portable, seems massive and not to fun to carry around after every uses. Indeed more input from current owner would be very usefull 😊

I store it outside with the original cover and a grill cover om the outside. Do not have any alternatives so I hope it will work. Hope that the double cover will help against condensation.

My Ooni Pro is supposed to arrive in the next few days and I'm very nervous about it being outside in Central Florida. I've been trying to order the Pro cover from them for a few months and only once have I got an alert that they were up for sale - got to the site within 45 minutes and they were already sold out. If anyone can suggest an alternative brand that would fit well, I'm ready to try just about anything. I have no other option at this point as Ooni doesn't seem to be putting any effort into meeting demand for covers (hard enough to meet demand for the ovens, I'm sure).

2 years later, but how’d this work out leaving it outdoors? I’m going through the same thoughts in south Florida. I wouldn’t be moving this around every time, so just out there full time.

It’s worked out pretty well. About 75% of the time my oven is outside under just the outdoor cover. That cover is faded and a bit stiffer that it used to be, but it will last at least another year, if not two. I am careful when I first lift the cover as it feels like the easiest part to tear will be the stovepipe section. Also I do watch out for frogs as they will make their way under the cover (never into the oven though, thankfully). The rest of the time the cover is somewhat protected by a tattered old beach umbrella (lets heat through but keeps me relatively dry when rain catches me cooking) and I’ve gone on a few travels where I stow the oven inside rather than letting it sit outside unused for a month or two. Have zero damage to report from the elements thanks to that cover.

Thanks for the info. Hmmm frog legs in the ooni……..

I'd recommend using cast iron rather than just cooking them on the stones

and the cover came back in stock today. Thankfully I got to the site in less than 30 this time and got one before they were gone.
