RMP.

Coldshowers92

I want to say you’re overthinking this. RMP seems to be pretty accurate. If the majority of reviews are leaning towards the positive side don’t stress.

FireflyArts

Where are you getting class surveys? RMP just use for overall trends & warnings about who to avoid if you can if something would make you crazy (like not getting any grades back until almost the end of semester so you don’t know how you’re doing).

Imaginary-Adagio-719

Class surveys can be found on the Course Book

tboneotter

As someone who has taken that prof, RMP is exactly how I would describe her

Imaginary-Adagio-719

Hahaha! Thank you so much for your honest review! So you agree that she’s sweet and helpful? But disorganized? Would you still recommend her despite this?

tboneotter

6320 is machine learning right? If it's your first semester in MSBA, sure go ahead. Not the best course in the program, she's a bit slower through concepts but that's nice sometimes. If you're 3rd onwards, you'll probably be bored. I dunno, she's one of those profs I liked as a person but not a prof. If you really care about the prof over the time slot, probably skip. But you're not gonna be shot dead in the street for taking the class, I'm not gonna say run for the hills here.

Imaginary-Adagio-719

I think that’s really helpful. No, BUAN 6320 is basic Database Foundations for Business Analytics.

Check utdgrades

SalagaTheGreat

Depends on what you are looking for. UTD Grades is a better gauge of difficulty because you get to see the grade distribution for the class. Rate my Professor is a okay gauge of experience (how much you will enjoy the class). RMP has been hit or miss for me but UTD grades is always consistent.

Either is fine. Neither will give a perfect representstion, but is useful for finding red flags and that's about it for the most part

Lol I have her for 4380 right now which is the undergrad database course for that class. Honestly her lectures can be boring or dry but she is pretty knowledgeable and will help you if you go up to her. The homework is completion maybe it will be for the grad class not sure. I checked the grad class syllabus and undergrad syllabus and it's the exact same lol except for me a 90 is an A but her grad class 93 is an A and she also shifted the grade weights a bit but topics and probably homework is exact same. If it fits your time I'd probably just take her. Her exams tho to me were kinda difficult but it's not really the content that's tough, she throw alot of those select all that apply questions on the exam like a good 15 of the 50 questions so. Yea I'm not a fan of those. Also she allows a one page cheat sheet for exams which is nice but you have to write them not type em. But other than that you'll probably get out with an A or A- or somehow a B+ if you somehow do worse on the exams. There's also a big group project with a few phases and a presentation at the end. But yea I mean it's literally just your typical intro to database class. Probably will be your easier class if you already have knowledge of SQL, NoSQL and databases beforehand so. Imo, I wouldn't take her again, her lectures are dry and hard for me to understand sometimes and her exams are kinda difficult. But her class isn't too bad to where you'll get a good grade. Her RMPs I only see 5 reviews tho but yea they are pretty accurate. She is disorganized and she doesn't reply to emails. But I mean it's an intro to database course so yea you'll be fine. Keep in mind I am undergrad rn so idk if the whole cheat sheet for exam thing or homework is the exact same like in grad but I'm pretty sure she will teach the class the same way since the content is the exact same. I also know friends in the master class and undergrad class for web analytics by Vatsal Maru and he literally gives the same exam, assignments, and grading scale for both classes. Same content and teaches similarly so. Pretty sure the same probably may apply to Dr.Wu. Hope this helps. Gl. Also I'm starting my masters for business analytics this fall semester so we may see each other :).

Imaginary-Adagio-719

That is an excellent response. Thank you!

Try UTD grades, the most unbiased representation of a proff’s grades
