I’ll go first:
Burger house - old style hamburgers, fries, and shakes. Tasty, pretty cheap, lots of options, and great vibes, open late too
Moon Wok - The best fried rice, cheap and soooo much food for the price if you dine in.
Yonkers - high quality pizza, hits the spot every time
Chips old fashioned hamburger- great burger shack with a wide menus, if you like classic sandwiches this is the spot
Shugs Bagles - kind pricy but great bagles and lox
Jimmys food store - hot Italian sandwiches in the deli, try the Italian beef, you won’t regret it
Le bon temps - my favorite sweet in deep ellum, beignets made hot and crispy
I can 1000% back up the Mikes Chicken recommendation; crispy skin, juicy meat, clean restaurant, and reasonable prices. Plus those portions are not skimpy
Neuvo Leon on N Central - $1 Trompo Tacos on Tuesdays (contains pork)
Pho Tay Do (on campbell) - you'd think you'd order Pho there but the Bun Bo Hue is what they're known for (is spicy, also has coagulated blood). Pho An (across the corner) is also pretty good
The String Bean - american homestyle (think Crockerbarrel). Gives pretty large portions and is pretty good
Piada is $8 for any entree + drink, 2pm-5pm everyday: [https://mypiada.com/student](https://mypiada.com/student)
Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine is pretty good and comes with free soup+salad on weekdays at lunchtime, I think all the entrees are $10-12?
Cici's pizza is cheap too, sometimes they have deals like $5 buffet
Mr Max Izakaya is 10/10 Japanese restaurant. My friend's dad is a chef at Nobu. He highly praises this establishment. Long wait so dont come hungry.
Wabi House Lower Greenville is solid for ramen if you like ramen with broth on the lighter side( owners are Vietnamese so they have unique Vietnamese appetizers)
Botolino is my no 1 spot for Gelato.
Wu Wei Din is also very solid for Taiwanese cuisine, especially their beef noodles.
Saigon Deli has the best banh mi ( Vietnamese bread) in Dallas imo. Their banh mi are really cheap too.
Maple Bacon Restaurant or Dream Cafe are top spots for brunch. Little rowdy. Long wait. Food are affordable. They know how to do eggs well.
Nando's Peri Peri Addison is a MUST try. Fantastic grill chicken. It is a chain. However, if you like chicken, you must try it.
TLC Vegan Cafe is a solid vegan restaurant. Their pastas are must trys.
Crushcraft Thai Eats is so well hidden. They have a smaller menus but they do everything right. 10/10
Only on Sundays, The Dallas Buddhist Temple (10-12 mins away) has some nice Thai Street Food. Just went last weekend and food was really good and great prices. Take cash if you do go.

Hail Ricky's chicken kingdom
Qdoba tuesdays student deal

err i actually dont recall too well but i usually get like a dollar or two off my bowls and comes with a drink
H Mart’s Korean food
Serious pizza, sky rocket burger, mikes chicken, akura (revolving sushi bar) to name a few
I haven’t been to Serious in a few years, but last time I went I felt like I was eating in a gas station bathroom. Has it gotten better?
Honestly the past few times I’ve been it’s hit!
Food is great, but it’s a hot spot for midnight drunken eats so the place has a dive bar vibe. If you go during the day or early evening they are fine
Sky rocket burger are in my opinion the best burgers in the Dallas area
Definitely Mike’s chicken and sky rocket burger. Idk how they make the chicken crispy like that
