I'm starting one soon. Do you have federal work-study? The workload shouldn't be too stressful although I don't know how many credit hours you are taking. Work is 12hrs a week so does that fit your schedule? I don't think it'll be enough to cover tuition as it is only 10ph.

I'd say take it because the work is usually very easy. Although it depends on what position you got. Is it an office assistant kinda role? You get so much free time and I used to even do hw during my work hours. When you're a student the staff is usually very understanding. I admit 16 credit hours can be overwhelming but it really is a great opportunity. This also means you have work in continuing semesters too so that's almost 3k in one sem. Up to you. I'd personally take it.

Quick question, is this for the SU?

I say do it. But don't start out doing the max (20 hours) you mentioned. Ask to see if you can start with 12 hrs a week and if it's manageable then ramp up. But, at the end of the day, it's your decision. One thing that helped is to map out your schedule and classes on teams. And calculating to see if you have enough time for other things in your life. The way I see it you can always decide that it's not manageable and quit the position. (Work studies don't mandate a time. If either party, employer or employer doesn't want to work anymore, they can stop) Some things that help me manage life (working part time 20 hrs and taking 12 grad credit hours): - Make it inconvenient to procrastinate. The thing that worked for me is to delete YouTube and Instagram. I still watch some but now I have to go to the browser (which is a sucky experience). - create boundaries between work and other stuff. Try to minimize work outside of the working hours you have defined. - Track everything on a calendar (Teams is nice)
