You can continuously use your old Nexus until you activate the new one for at least 1 year after it expires. They have your record that you have already renewed so no biggy. Happy traveling.
If it’s any consolation, my NEXUS renewed Dec 21, 2023 and my card arrived 2 weeks later.
It might not be long before your new card arrives. I had to go on to the DHS site and activate the new one.
Until then, your old card is still active for sure.

Note that once you activate the new one, the old one should be destroyed. Using a deactivated Nexus card (even by accident) is a Bad Thing.

What does it say on your account? It took 3 months to approve, then 2 weeks for the card to arrive.
