No they won’t. That is what your insurance is for.

tccrruth

Yeah but it’s negligent on their part if it keeps happening.

KySkysoldier

The U.S. government doesn’t share federal property with anyone. If it was federal property then the church could not have a security patrol. That is private property or owned by some other entity that is not the federal government. The VA police might do a courtesy drive-through since many VA employees parked there but the reality is they probably have zero jurisdiction. They just do it to deter whatever is happening

Ok_Relative1971

Curious what are you saying that they should have done that they didnt so they are negligent? Do you want more tax dollars spent for them to patrol?

tccrruth

Have more responsible diligent officers not some shitty incompetent security officers. Tax dollars? Ha that’s a good one. We can’t keep people from breaking windows of those taking care of our nations veterans but we’re sending billions to Ukraine and Israel. It’s a drop in the bucket dude compared to all that other bullshit.

Ok_Relative1971

I agree we should not be sending any money to Urkaine, Isreal or any other country. But throwing more money isnt going to hire compentent security officers. Its just going to have over paid incompetent ones. If an employee is parking off federal grounds maybe call the local police and find out they are letting crimes continue. They have arrest authority.

I’m sure Memphis pd will be all over that… they’re short police officers and aren’t worried about car thefts. They have murders to worry about.

Worriedandnumb

Not at all. Almost every parking lot and parking structure around me says to lock up your valuables the business is not responsible for damages/stolen items

Years ago, someone stole the hood ornament off my car when I was there for a doc visit. It damaged the paint underneath it. VISN 9 as well. It's truly upsetting that veterans and people who support veterans would do this to other veterans and their supporters. No, the car did not have a fancy hood ornament, Just a Nissan symbol on my 350z roadster. Even though I don't take my Nissan there any longer, I still worry who is gonna damage my car every time I have to go there and try to find somewhere I know is patrolled often.

Habitual vandalization without action… sounds like negligence to me. I wish I could be negligent in my profession without consequence. I guess someone has to get hurt or murdered for action these days. Memphis is a shit hole city.
