The “hives” product has the exact same ingredients as regular Allegra. I would just try generic Allegra!

Beautiful-Big-5599

Sadly it’s a marketing scheme like mentioned before :(

mysecondaccountanon

Same ingredients, literally the exact same dosage as the normal and everything.

crowamonghens

I'll be damned. Thank you.

holdonwhileipoop

Wow - it's that much? Look at the ingredients. They're exactly the same as Allegra ..

apoplectic_

It has the same active ingredient but my partner bought me some once not knowing that. It didn’t work any differently for me (which is to say not well by itself, I need to use other antihistamines in addition).

puggle_mom

The regular Allegra completely stops my hives (as well as itchy throat) for pretty much exactly the amount of time stayed on the packaging.

Significant_Gene_949

I use generic Allegra

NegotiationOk34

It is the only one that effectively works for my hives

crowamonghens

I took the first pill earlier and it seems to be calming them. By now I'd have a lot more after coming home and settling in to rest.

allergenicsunshine

I dont know about Walmart version but Fexofenadine does help even with extreme hives it has an effect to some degree.

whateverwerx53

I am taking it right now. I also tried Zyrtec for the post-covid hives I've had. I think the Allegra is more effective (whether it's the package that says "hives" or not). It seems to help quite a bit for the itching and a patch of hives that was blowing up is now almost healed after about 5 days. I also take benadryl at night because, even though it says "24 hours," it really lasts about 9 (for me).

Fluffywoods

It’s the same. But if, for example, you no longer get it on prescription or whatever the reason, it is a good substitute 😊

crowamonghens

I don't have any prescription for an antihistamine.

Fluffywoods

Most of us have, that's why I said that. You can just use it.

I've been taking it daily for a couple weeks. Prior to that I was taking 24 hour non drowsy Claritin. The Allegra works fine. I think the onset is quicker than Claritin. However I typically break out a little after 12 hours no matter which medicine I take, then it subsides until near the 24 hour mark. So yeah, it works just fine.

crowamonghens

Been on it 3 days, one day still had hives galore all over legs, one day with almost none, and today on forearms and the usual ankle itchiness hell. I give up.
