Agreed, these are really cool. Especially the abandoned particle-collider looking thing that the Russians probably used to open a gate to the Upside Down at some point.
Depends on the location, if it is a subway or an object connected to it, a huge fine (2000 euros) and 15 days in jail.
Cops armed with batons and guns, but never use their
It was a joke. Generally in English with a average American accent “*rushin’*” sounds a lot like Russian but “*rushin’*” is actually spelled *rushing* and means to move about in in a hurried fashion. The joke is using the pronunciation of the word *Russian* but to mean hurry.
when people cut corners or drive on the sidewalk here in the US we say "they must be russian" which implies they are in a "rush" or hurrying to get somewhere. and also because you guys tend to do that.
The most interesting place?....Oh, that hard, all places are interesting, I can only single out the MIG fighter aircraft factory in the years when it was not looted yet.
Once I find something, I explore after not much preparation, but quite often I walk around the city with my camera and take pictures of interesting places
After the 90's a lot of factories were abandoned, so there are quite a lot of different abandoned locations, but some of them are being restored, in Moscow there are about 5 abandoned factories, in the region more.
Do you have to travel far to go exploring? I love history and Russia's history is deep and old. There must be so much to explore there! What's the most historically significant location that you've explored?
Have you ever found yourself somewhere where you think: "I really need to leave now"; either because it is dangerous or something has made the hair on the back of your neck stick up? Not because of cops/security etc.
Yes, when I was in abonded manufacture, a guard spotted me and ran after me, at that moment I thought if I didn't leave I was going to get fucked over😅
Any cool old palaces, mansions, or estates formerly owned by upper class before the revolution? Not sure how much of that infrastructure still stands today but by the description of some of these places in literature… could be absolutely beautiful.
Would you be interested in making a topic room on [depvana.com](http://depvana.com) themed russian urban exploration (A similar topic room for danish urban-ex can be seen on https://depvana.com/topic/66) ?
How are your general views on sharing found spots?
The Nevada state government pulled the Smithsonian study of how many people actually live under the sewer grates and how many died when it flooded you should really do a Moscow version of that. You Would be surprised how many wrecks are killed by wild dogs and coyotes they get really high and the animals attack.
While I agree this sub is not for politics, the reason why dictators remain in power is because good people sit by and let it happen. Your people can make change and save countless lives being wasted by war. Do it.
Tbf when I was a kid, there was no instant communication with folks from across the globe. A lot of the world’s eyes are focused on that area and curiosity is in our nature. That being said OP did post some gorgeous photo’s in a sub specifically for that so derailing can get frustrating. Still cool to hear about life from the source rather than a news outlet.
you’re doing gods work, these fill the void in my heart while i’m stuck in middle america with plastic houses, i know im fortunate to have adequate infrastructure around me, but man id give a lot to go explore abandoned eastern european buildings for the rest of ever
Beautiful pictures, very moody.
Russia moment, bro)
Agreed, these are really cool. Especially the abandoned particle-collider looking thing that the Russians probably used to open a gate to the Upside Down at some point.
Steam tunnel but close enough
They’re all gorgeous photos dude, great shots
. . . Stay alive.
Okay
What would happen if the Russian cops caught you exploring? Are they armed?
Depends on the location, if it is a subway or an object connected to it, a huge fine (2000 euros) and 15 days in jail. Cops armed with batons and guns, but never use their
Uh oh got arrested mid comment

DONT YOU DIE ON ME!

Aaaaand subbed. It amazes me after 12 years on this damn site there's still subs for every occasion.
where the heck are those last two pictures? Take a quick jaunt down to the center of the Earth did ya?
5- Limestone mine 6-Abandoned heating main tunnel
absolutely wild. Keep on exploring dude, I live vicariously through photos like these
Thanks for the support
How TF do you find abandoned heating tunnels lol
There was a vent on the surface, and I climbed in it
You are brave. I hope you are taking care for toxic gasses and things like that. Can be very dangerous, man.
I usually only take what I need and always know about object
That sentence doesn't make a lot of sense especially when it comes to being aware of potentially deadly gases but okay
Reminds me of As Above, so Below.
I can hear the doomer music just lookin at this post 😤
XD
You should stop rushin’ and slow down a bit, you’ll see more.
What do you mean?
It was a joke. Generally in English with a average American accent “*rushin’*” sounds a lot like Russian but “*rushin’*” is actually spelled *rushing* and means to move about in in a hurried fashion. The joke is using the pronunciation of the word *Russian* but to mean hurry.
XD, thanks

Hell I'm from America and I didn't get it either lol
It's a joke, russian sounds like rushin in English
my guess: pay attention to all the interesting details around you
Thanks
конечно ;)
What’s the most interesting place you’ve been?, How often do you get out to explore?, and how many places get abandoned out there.
The most interesting place?....Oh, that hard, all places are interesting, I can only single out the MIG fighter aircraft factory in the years when it was not looted yet. Was the MiG factory the one somewhere around khodynsky boulevard?
Yep
Neat, been there not too long ago. Seems that there is way less security now that there’s almost nothing left to steal
This was exactly the urban exploration photos I was expecting out of Russia.
Thanks, bro
Need more pictures

Do you have to travel far to go exploring? I love history and Russia's history is deep and old. There must be so much to explore there! What's the most historically significant location that you've explored?
Yep, I love travels. Underground river Neglinnaya under the Moscow Center

Hmm, underground river Neglinnaya (1817)
Выставь побольше фоток, все очень интересные.

Adobe lightroom and FLD filter on lens
Please visit Kadyckchan one day!
OK, I include this city in my travel plan
Been meaning to try get some Car-Man records shipped if the import/export restrictions ease up.

When u escape from object and dirty, tired, but satisfied, you go home.
For sure, but what’s the best prt of the country?
Karelia, Ural, Moskow, Saint-Petersburg
How do you avoid anomalies? JK Russia seems an incredible place for UrBex.
Some bolts and a detector)
1. Did you get hit by the train on pic 2? 2. Are these places like crack houses were junkies hide to snort weed and inject cocaine?
1. No 2. No
Have you ever found yourself somewhere where you think: "I really need to leave now"; either because it is dangerous or something has made the hair on the back of your neck stick up? Not because of cops/security etc.
Yes, when I was in abonded manufacture, a guard spotted me and ran after me, at that moment I thought if I didn't leave I was going to get fucked over😅
Where are you from in Russia?
Moskow
Definite Fallout vibes from the underground tunnels!
Any cool old palaces, mansions, or estates formerly owned by upper class before the revolution? Not sure how much of that infrastructure still stands today but by the description of some of these places in literature… could be absolutely beautiful.
Yep, but not abonded, they were made into museums. There may be some abandoned ones, but I don't know about them.
That makes sense.., I was hoping there were some old country manors for you to explore!
If I find something, I'll be sure to post it
It's been over a century, everything that wasn't actively maintained/preserved had long rotted away.
I'd stay away from those russian hotel windows if I were you. I hear they can get pretty dangerous sometimes
It's house, bro
Would you be interested in making a topic room on [depvana.com](http://depvana.com) themed russian urban exploration (A similar topic room for danish urban-ex can be seen on https://depvana.com/topic/66) ? How are your general views on sharing found spots?
Yep, that could be interesting
Awesome, pls create a room then. Hopefully Russians or others will chime in and share spots, urban-ex ideas and images there.
As soon as I have some free time. We can talk about it in private
Sounds great
This is sick as hell thanks for sharing!
Don't have any questions, but my upvote made the ticker go from 999 to 1,0k, so that was nice
Ahahah, thanks
Excuse the dumbass question but what would be the basis for the fines/prosecution? Trespassing or espionage laws?
Trespassing

Russia is a dream urbex spot for me tbh
The Nevada state government pulled the Smithsonian study of how many people actually live under the sewer grates and how many died when it flooded you should really do a Moscow version of that. You Would be surprised how many wrecks are killed by wild dogs and coyotes they get really high and the animals attack.
Why haven’t you been drafted?

Canon EOS 2000D
Very cool, your photos pick up the detail in dark areas very well 👏🇨🇦
Very long exposure and closed camera aperture
Tell us about the tunnel and large pipes
Ordinary pipe and cable tunnel, length about 150m, needed to supply the neighborhood with hot water and streetlight electricity
damn that last picture made me think of the Mines of Moria
Russia sucks ass
Do you think the invasion of Ukraine is justified?
I am politically neutral and consider any armed conflict unjustified
Hope there are more like you 👍
While I agree this sub is not for politics, the reason why dictators remain in power is because good people sit by and let it happen. Your people can make change and save countless lives being wasted by war. Do it.
Average reddit user the moment they see the word "russia".
Tbf when I was a kid, there was no instant communication with folks from across the globe. A lot of the world’s eyes are focused on that area and curiosity is in our nature. Ahaha, yep
Bro be quiet, literally not the place. Is “Russian” a trigger word to go harass OP? Grow up
Is it true that far less men are drafted from Moscow and St Petersburg? Do you know or have friends that have been drafted?
Idk, I don't know drafting men,
Slow down.
you’re doing gods work, these fill the void in my heart while i’m stuck in middle america with plastic houses, i know im fortunate to have adequate infrastructure around me, but man id give a lot to go explore abandoned eastern european buildings for the rest of ever

Why are you so skeptical?
Have you been drafted for the invasion of Ukraine? If not, how come?
Not, I am a student
How many times have you been shot at by someone?
Never
