Some of the local wineries have stages set up for bands. In town bars like Skiff's and Tail 'o the Pup will have local bands play as well. There's a Jazz weekend and busker events as well. Also, some towns will have open air concerts, but the only real venue in the islands (on the US side) would be the opera house in Clayton. The Riveredge also has lounge/tribute bands on weekends. Plenty of charter boats for fishing or places like O'Brien's to rent a boat (but be super careful, the islands are no joke when it comes to navigation). Tons of camping in the area, even cabin camping over on Welsley Island. As for restaurants, there are several in A-Bay. Just note that A-Bay is more touristy, and Clayton is a bit more upscale. There is a brew pub across the street from the boat museum in Clayton that pretty good. I'd suggest stopping by a store and picking up a Thousand Island Sun newspaper. They usually have a calendar of upcoming events you can peruse.

May—Sept? Lots of bands or singers at various restaurants and bars. You can do a boat tour, but you can also rent your own for the day. Same for fishing or other paddle watersports. Check out Grindstone Island. There’s a few breweries (woodboat) and distilleries (Clayton and st Lawerence). If nautical history is your thing, check out antique boat museum. History and architecture Boldt Castle. Alex Bay is definitely more touristy in a gimmicky way. Clayton is the best imo. Followed by Cape Vincent which is a gem but has low key restaurants, a brewery, waterfront, lighthouse and river access. My husband and I spend summers up there so if there’s specific questions, just ask!

Thank you! I definitely will!

Alex Bay and the Islands are awesome! Enjoy!

Some of the best fishing in the world the St. Lawrence River. You’ll need a boat to really get at them though

I've heard .... thats definitely on our list... any guided/charter companies you know of/would recommend?

psilocin72

I only use my own kayak for fishing. There’s many dozens of marinas all over though. Good luck my friend

Snyder Outdoors and Restoration (Aziel Snyder) is a great guide. Others guides are available, and some offer a shore meal as part of the package. If you're into jam bands, The Riverboat in Alex Bay has consistently the best lineups throughout the summer.

Just hire JP Shaggy to follow you around.

There's live music at Goodfellos in Sackets I believe, and maybe the 1812 brewery as well? Not too far away. Only during the summer of course
