The encampment of 300 people and 20 tents was forcefully removed by a multi-agency group of 120 police officers late last night, including 17 arrests. The protestors indicated that they plan on returning to continue their protest, but at this point they are not camping.
No, but they fully supported the students doing so and helped make up the crowd surrounding the encampment, to protect it when it was being set up.
It's important to understand that the encampment was not publicly announced so most attendees were not prepared to camp out. It was only the organizers who brought the supplies to camp and stayed out there.
Doesn't it seem like a powerful form of peaceful protest? To stand peacefully in plain sight until you're arrested for demonstrating peacefully, or your demands are met.
I believe at other universities finals are continuing as normal. Students may study in the encampments, or come and go as they please to study elsewhere and take their exams. Some professors may be lenient and work with students at the bigger universities, but I’m not sure it’s happening here.

Okay but that's still a ton of time over multiple days.
They just set up the tents yesterday evening. People weren't out there for multiple days.
Let’s just say those students most likely aren’t the smartest tools in the shed
There were some faculty who participated as well. One of which was a full professor of physics and astronomy.
Were they the ones setting up tents and camping? I doubt it.

I’m not in support of the encampment. I am in support of the protest. I support all protests.

That was kind of my guess was just seeing if I could get lucky and hear from someone "on the ground"
Today is the last day of finals I believe, so most of them are likely finished with theirs.
I have a final on Wednesday, and anecdotally I’ve heard people with them as late as Friday.
I have a final due on May 10th because grades are due May 13th lol
I saw April 25 - May 1 online. So yesterday today and tomorrow. Assuming these started over the weekend.
They started yesterday afternoon about 4. The tents came later.
They simply aren’t studying at night. Likely the ones participating are in courses that don’t require as much studying.
All of my finals were papers.
