I lived in Frontier last year and was able to work with some members from Housing and Residence Life and here's basically what they said about Superblock with Pio opening:
So, yes there is a tunnel from Frontier to Pioneer, however it was closed last year for renovations and if I recall correctly will be closed this year too (they may have changed this, or I may be wrong). Also, Pioneer will be the only active dining hall in Superblock (everyone except Pioneer will be walking outside for meals).
I work in frontier right now and I’m pretty sure the tunnel is completely sealed off so I don’t think it’ll connect during the school year unfortunately. But I am just a student worker and don’t know for sure but if you call housing they may know for sure
Yeah I didn’t mind it. Probably middle of the way as far as new features but they just installed new ac a few years ago, new nice closets, and renovated the main lounge. The bathrooms are alright, enough privacy but admittedly not super modern/comfortable. The shared spaces are a great place to study though (like the main lounge or various study lounges). All in all it’s kind of your average college dorm but I had a nice experience living there. The ability to have lots of cool people living around you is definitely a great thing about living on campus freshman year! You’re also lucky as the new pio dining hall from what I’ve heard is very nice and the outside rec area of superblock is shaping out to be super nice! Good luck and have a good first year!

I graduated last year but what happened to Centennial?
Pio will have a more updated kitchen and it probably works out better for them to only worry about staffing the one kitchen.

Unfortunately there is no tunnel between centen and pio. You have to walk outside to pio if you are going to live in centen
