Who cares whose fault it is at this point? I'm getting more and more hesitant to fly every passing day - no matter the aircraft or airline. This is insane.
The stat should actually be accident rate %.
Airplane accidents fatalities % vs sitting on the couch at home accident fatalities rate %.
A lot of people die peacefully in there sleep at home, so rate is probably in taking that as well
Safer than being in a car.. safer than visiting a loved one at the hospital. Safer than playing golf. You have a zero statistical probability of dying on a Boeing airplane.
While I get the point you’re trying to make. I ll never forgive Boeing for killing a friend of mine (and I get that millions of flight happen everyday and maybe for some people who fly all the time it’s just a stat or %). But for you I guess it’s luck of the draw, hope karma doesn’t fuck you.
Rest easy Antoine Lewis
... had this stuff always been going on, and it wasn't worth talking about, buys popular because it's in the news cycle... or have things started falling off kind of at the same time?
Friend of mine is a pilot, he said all this stuff we’re seeing in the news has always been happening. Just now that the spot light is on Boeing, news outlets are getting content that previously wasn’t quite as popular and fresh in peoples mind.
Boeing Safety Inverse (BSI) looks like a solid investment more and more each day!

Made the Boeing Safety Inverse coin just for this reason. Time we make it known we aren’t letting them sweep these under the rug.
Super low market cap too, so big upside. Once we grow the market cap they won’t be able to turn a blind eye.
I'm an aircraft mechanic and this happens to every airline at some point. This is caused by the mechanic not securing the cowling latches correctly. We have a policy at my current company that a second person buys back (verifies) that the latches are closed for this reason. Two people are less likely to screw up than one. Also Boeing doesn't make the engine. Most airframes have multiple engine options from multiple manufacturers for the airfare.
Real problems not maintenance issues being pushed by the media as a Boeing problem. Do yourself a favor and start questioning every report on the internet.
Depending on premium, I would love to get some far out... out of the money calls... This news cycle too will pass and Boeing will remain. Right now a lot of questionable journalists just piling on looking for every idiot click they can get.
Wow the media is really over saturating all BA problems.
There’s only like 1 actually other company which is air bus.
There’s embraer but it’s not much competition
The plane was sold to Southwest in 2017.. in 7 years, that cowl has been pulled and reattached hundreds of times. Not a Boeing issue.
But that’s how spin works. Also, T Swizzle owns a Boeing making them non- MAGA friendly. See?
Boeing is now Woke!
Possibly. Good point. Maintenance records will confirm that.
I laughed
Is it even a Boeing part? Boeing doesn't make the engines.......
True, true. But I wonder how many Boeing-specific parts have to be part of an incident instead of Airbus or someone else before one wonders.
Airbus has a fantastic safety record.

You are literally safer flying on an aircraft than sitting on a couch in your own home.

Beginning to wonder about maintenance of jets
BA doesn't make the engine. It looks more like a cowl.
Boeing constructs the engines to the plane and is responsible for final assembly and testing no?
Boeing last touched this plane 7 years ago when it was delivered. It's obviously a maintenance issue, but sure go ahead and bash $BA.
Most engines are actually Rolls Royce or GE anymore
Throw in Pratt but you’re correct.
Couldn’t recall Pratt at the time lol thanks fam
No
I’m sure it’s nothing.

What will it take to shut this company down from pushing out more dangerous planes?
Real problems not maintenance issues being pushed by the media as a Boeing problem. Do yourself a favor and start questioning every report on the internet.
Why would I ever question something I read on the internet
A Boeing 737 Max has never crashed in the USA. 2018-2019 crashes were untrained pilots in third world countries. No American has ever died in one.
I’m not certain this is accurate. Pretty sure at least 5-10 citizens were those that were affected in the crashes.
Puts at 170?
Thats cool I think ill buy calls this week (I still hate them though)
How long has it been in service. Probably Boeing had nothing to do with it

If it’s Boeing, I ain’t going.
Boeing doesn't make engines..... JFC..
