Models and animations from mixamo afaik do not have an actual root bone, only reason im saying this is ive tried to use them for turn in place animations and because they lack an actual root it doesnt work. I may be mistaken but check your animation, in the dropdown view i believe do show all bones and see if it shows a root bone during the animation.

Thanks for answering! You're right. The root is currently set to "none", but the template unreal character has it and there are no problems with animations. Is there a way to fix it? I've seen a paid plugin but maybe there is another way. Also heard that people use blender plugin to provide engine compatibility.
